First of all I have to ask, can you imagine American Idol WITHOUT Paula Abdul?  Honestly?  I can’t.  Paula is part of the show, you take her away and there will be massive hole left.  So, I am pleased to say that Paula should be around as long as the show keeps going, which I would imagine to be a very long time with it’s killer ratings.

“I’ve been invited to stay the duration of the show, however long it lasts,” said Abdul, whose contract hasn’t been renewed since it expired after the show’s eighth season. She said the invitation to come back is subject to agreement on the details of a new deal.

The panel of judges is like a crazy family. They belong together.

“I’m the nurturing mom, Simon’s the disapproving dad, and Randy’s the cool brother,” she said. “It’s been an interesting journey. It’s something that I’ll always would want to be a part of.”

We want you to be part of it too Paula, don’t you go anywhere.
