My heart sank when I read the news that ER’s, Maura Tierney was having health issues.  Now that we know the actual issues, my heart sinks a bit more.  Maura has a breast tumor that must be removed surgically.  Until there is a biopsy on the tumor, they won’t know how the rest of her treatment will go.  I am just hooping and praying that it’s benign.

Maura is staying postive for sure…

“I have discovered a tumor in my breast which requires surgery,” the actress, 44, said. “I will not know either my exact diagnosis or course of treatment until that surgery is performed.”

“My doctors have all assured me this is a very treatable condition,” Tierney said in her statement. “I’m very optimistic as to the outcome and want to thank everyone who has sent positive thoughts and support. I look forward to going back to work soon.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Maura.  I hope everything goes smoothly and that you heal quickly.
