Emma Watson definitely seems the brainy type, and that’s not just me confusing her with Hermione Granger.     She told Paste magazine that she is planning to attend Brown University in the fall.

Emma plans to major in literature.  She’s looking forward to all the reading:

“It sounds so geeky, but I really do like studying and reading, and if I’m not working on Harry Potter, then my greatest relaxation is to sit with a book,” she explained. “That’s how I escape stress—in literature. I always have several books on the go at any one moment, so it’s no good you asking ‘What’s on the bedside table at the moment, Emma?’ because often I can’t even see the table! I think that all that reading is just about the only similarity I have with Hermione, if you ask me”

Emma said that going to college will fulfill a longstanding goal, and also make her feel just like any other young adult.

“I’ve always wanted to go to university and I really want to finish my studies. I think Natalie Portman, when she was younger, said, ‘I’d rather be smart than an actress.’ I definitely feel her vibe. It doesn’t mean that I’m giving up acting or anything dramatic like that. I just want a normal experience for a while.”
