Do you remember ‘Glitter Girl‘ from seasons 7 & 8 of American Idol?  She auditioned 2 different times and never got her Golden Ticket.  She was openly upset and the video (below) was all over the internet.

Sadly, she was struck and killed by a car in Seaside Heights, NJ.

Alexis Cohen was found dead at the edge of Dupont Avenue near Bay Boulevard at about 4 a.m., said Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County Prosecutors Office.

A driver and passenger noticed Cohen and called 911, Mohel said. Seaside Heights
First Aid workers transported her to Community Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 6:30 a.m., he said.

An autopsy conducted Saturday afternoon revealed chest and abdominal injuries and a closed head injury caused by collision with a vehicle, Mohel said.

Police found Cohen’s car in a parking lot 300 yards away, Mohel said.

We knew that Nadya Suleman aka OctoMom has been working towards this reality show for a long time.  In fact, I think she pumped out all these kids just to get herself on TV.  She’s a sick woman and now she’s going to get paid for being sick.  Wow.  What’s wrong with our world?

So, the paperwork is underway for the show, the kids have to be ‘legal’ to work,

A production company called EyeWorks UK has filed documents
in L.A. County Superior court requesting approval for Nadya’s 14 kids to participate in a documentary production.

The production company will be paying each kid about $6k a year over 3 years.  I wonder how much Nadya will get?  It will obviously be a larger sum, we’ll keep you posted.  But, hello…it’s not like she won’t be spending all the “kid’s” money anyhow.  She’s got to pay for those acrylic nails somehow.

There sure does seem to be a lot of spoiling in the reality TV department lately.  The latest is The Amazing Race season 15.  A few names have been leaked and they aren’t everyday ‘Joes‘.  Here are a few names that have made the list,

Miss America 2004 Ericka Dunlap and her husband Brian Kleinschmidt, Harlem Globetrotters Nate “Big Easy” Lofton and Herbert “Flight Time” Lang, and pro poker players Maria Ho and Tiffany Michelle.

Well, I think this could defintiely make season 15 more interesting.  It’s a cool variety and I think these guys will mingle well with the rest of the cast…….

Many girls may be obsessed with the way he looks, as well as some guys trying to look like him, but Zac Efron says he really does not try that hard to look the way he does.

“On a normal day, I’m usually out of the shower and ready to go in a couple of minutes. I’m not a naturally groomed guy. I like to look good, but I don’t get obsessed about it.”

Zac goes on to talk about being a little confused about other men wanting his hairstyle. He explains that this, too, is simply just from being lazy, not  meticulous.

“Someone said to me that guys are trying to copy my hairstyle, but to be honest, this hairstyle is derived from laziness. I wake up and go – that’s it. There’s no product in it, nothing.

“If you really want your hair to look good, just don’t wash it for a day. That’s my secret.”

That’s true and women have known this forever. Hair usually does look better, and styles easier after a day of not washing it. I guess it was only a matter of time before a guy shared this secret with others.

Want the body of a Hollywood actress? Be prepared to work for it. Actress Jessica Biel recently said that she works hard, very hard, to look good while preparing for a role.

“I’ve worked out five hours, sometimes more, in a single day, if I’m in training for a film role or something,” she said. “And it’s hard — it’s very hard!”

Holy cow! That is a lot of time to spend per day working out. I mean, her body is fantastic and certainly fit in an athletic way.

I guess all that work is paying off!

‘The Fashion Show’ has finally come to an end this season and at long last a winner was announced. Anna McCraney is the one who takes home $125,000 and gets bragging rights to winning season 1 of TFS. Issac Mizrahi and Kelli Rowland hosted the reunion/finale and awarded Daniella the judges award of $10,000. James Paul, who is crazy talented (and often off on his own in outer space) left empty handed.

McCraney has solid retail friendly designs unlike James Paul and Daniella just needs a bit more time to mature into her own consistent style. McCraney is living in Brooklyn and teaching Fashion Merchandising at Wood Tobe-Coburn. She plans on launching her own line.

Bravo TV has put a lot of time and promotion into ‘The Fashion Show’ as they’ve lost ‘Project Runway’ to Lifetime Network however it’s just not pulling in the audience the way PRun does. It is focusing on clothing that consumers can buy as opposed to more fashion forward themes and I think it loses the fantasy and simply isn’t as interesting. The weekly competitions were too similar – essentially all were “make something we can sell on Bravo TV. ” If season 2 returns, look for some major changes – to the challenges themselves and probably the format.

We’ve been watching Jon Gosselin in the headlines a whole lot more than Kate Gosselin.  Jon is making his ’rounds’ with the ladies while I think Kate is trying to figure out what to do with herself.  Anyhow, Kate was seen today (July 24th) for the first time without her wedding ring on.  I think that is a very big step for her in the process of moving on.  It’s a good sign and I think she can only go up from here.  Hopefully Kate has learned something about love and respect from this whole experience that she can take with her into the next phase of her life.

Tara Costa made a huge impression on the latest season of The Biggest Loser.  She was this close to winning the prize, but she came out a winner anyhow.  She lost 155 pounds!   Tara looks  amazing and I am so proud of her.  Tara is going to be running in the New York City Marathon on November 1st.  This girl is going to rock for 26.2 miles.  I know she is going to do N.Y.C. proud.  You go girl!!  I am so excited for you!

Claudia Schiffer is a classic and she proves she still has ‘it’ at a photo shoot by Karl Lagerfeld for a women’s magazine at a guest house on Fasanenstrasse. Berlin, Germany today (July 24th).

I so love Claudia’s dress, it’s amazing and she’s breathtaking.  I am sure the magazine  is going to be a keeper.  Nice work, Claudia!
