Here is an update to my post on Jon Gosselin earlier today. Jon and Kate Major have become the couple of the week.  And well, apparently Kate Major thinks that this will be a lasting relationship with the ever shifting, Jon Gosselin.

Kate quit her job today to be with Jon.  WHAT!  Yep, it’s true.  Her now former employer, Star Magazine made this statement,

Star Senior Reporter Kate Major resigned this morning, Thursday, July 23, citing a conflict of interest between her reporting duties for the magazine and her relationship with Jon Gosselin.

Wow, that’s a wee bit quick to throw away your job for a guy.  I hope Kate has some sort of a back up plan when Jon decides to be done with ‘Kates’ altogether…..

Fans of the long awaited film, Inglorious Basterds went nuts for their favorite stars as the cast hit the red carpet for the premiere on July 23rd at the Odeon, Leicester Square in London.

Brad Pitt apparently couldn’t make an appearance, what’ s up with that?  Diane Kruger looked amazing and the genius, Quentin Tarantino looked great on her arm.  Mickey Rourke looked well, like himself. Tiny Iron didn’t look so tiny on the red carpet.  Alex James needed to get rid of the smoke, geesh.  Neve Campbell was simply lovely.  Rihanna on the other hand looked like a total moron.  In fact, her ‘style’ drives me up the freaking wall!  What is with her?

Anyway, back to the point (not the points on the ends of Rihanna’s fingers) Inglorious Basterds is going to be an amazing film and I can’ twait to see it.  Tarantino always makes a massive impression with his work….

Yesterday (July 22nd) was the opening day at the Del Mar Race Track in New York.  There were a lot of cute hats to be found on some interesting celebrities.  Carrie Prejean looked gorgeous in her satin dress and big, white hat.  Next up was Audrina Patridge who is a knockout at all times.  I must say that her black hat looked hot on her! Then you throw in Wilmer Valderamma and his rugged good looks and Del Mar is one good lookin’ place to be!

The cast of G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra arrived at Hotel de Rome in Berlin, Germany and were welcomed by a plethora of crazed fans.

I love how cute Dennis Quaid looks.  He is so sweet, signing all those autographs inspite of being so tired.  How funny is Sienna Miller, sneaking up the stairs…probably wanting to hit the sheets and catch some Z’s?

Speaking what some may be thinking is not always taken kindly. Rupert Everett has made a few comments about the death of Michael Jackson that do not sit well with some. Among the statements, that it was “fortuitous” that Jackson passed away due to the scrutiny that he was to face in his upcoming shows in London.

‘I think it was fortuitous that he died,’ he said. ‘He was supposed to be doing 50 concerts in London. It wouldn’t have mattered how good or bad he was. ‘He wouldn’t have managed to do all of them and the press would have destroyed him.’

Everett went on to say that it was the child molestation case in 2005 that finally did the pop star in.

‘He was crucified by that court case when he was accused of child molestation – that killed him.

Never one to shy away from letting his own opinions known, he went on to discuss how Jackson was a walking ‘performance art’ and that the death of Jackson may herald an end to the way we all look at celebrity.

Super hot country couple, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were out in Los Angeles on Wednesday (July 22nd) with their adorable kids.  I think they look just like their parents.  The family outing was a mission, for a puppy.  The foursome was checking out pooches at OrangeBone pet store, but alas they left empty handed.

I wonder what kind of puppy they are looking for?  What kind of pup can you see this family getting?

Not content to sing rolling around on the beaches in Malibu, Heidi Montag will be performing at the Miss Universe Pageant competition in August 23rd at 9PM on NBC.  Heidi will be singing her newest single “Turn Ya Head” from her album, “Unleashed,” which came out earlier this month.

Heidi will be joined by Flo Rida, Kelly Rowland, and David Guetta.  Flo Rida will perform “Right Round” and “Jump” during the swimsuit portion of the competion.  Kelly and David will duet on “When Love Takes Over” during the evening gown portion.

Wanting to try a whole new look, Solange Knowles has gone and pulled a Britney Spears.  The singer was spotted walking around in LA yesterday with a new hairdo.  Shaved close.  She had posted on her Twitter page :

“I wanna cut all my hair off and fade (cropped hair) phase”.

Why would she want to change her look so drastically?   Radar Online is saying that she went short in order to stop being compared to her older sister, Beyonce!

Solange may have also just wanted to change things up, because later that same night, she arrived at Avalon for A Night With Dita von Teese wearing a very lovely longer hair style.

After 31 long hours of labor, singer Kelis has given birth to a baby boy!  Kelis had her sister and mother by her side when she welcomed her first child, Knight Jones, at 9 P.M. on Wednesday.  Her rep said

“The beautiful baby boy and his mother are doing wonderful,”

So, where was her estranged soon to be ex-husband Nas? Word is that he tried to get in to see Kelis before baby Knight was born but he was so intoxicated the hospital wouldn’t let him in.
