Wrangler Jeans have just upped their profile by signing country music star Jason Aldean. The ‘Big Green Tractor’  singer will be the face (and tush!) of the new line called Wrangler Retro and be available in stores starting August. Radio, print and television appearances begin July 23rd on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and July 28th on The Chelsea Handler Show and will see the performer in jeans, Wrangler Retro no doubt. He’s definetly someone who could bring the line some serious attention. It’s making me look twice at the jeans… ahem!

Howard Stern and his beautiful, blonde bride, Beth Ostrosky will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary on October 3rd and Beth is expecting more than the traditional ‘paper gift’ that you find on the gift lists,

“He can do better than that!” she laughed.

It seems that Beth thinks very highly of marriage,

“I highly recommend marriage. It’s better than I ever imagined it would be!”

She has no secret to share on keeping a marriage alive,

“If it works, it works. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. We just seem to work.”

I have to sgree with Beth there, marriages are either meant to be or they’re not.  No “secret” from someone else’s marriage is going to make it work for you.

Early congrats to Howard and Beth!  1 year down and many more to go!  Keep enjoying each other!

British singer Lily Allen is forging ahead into the design business. ’The Fear’ songstress has posed for Chanel, has a clothing line - Lily Loves, and now jewelry is next on the horizon. Debuting in September and aimed at women ages 14 to 40  (and sure to include some flowers and animals) will be called simply Lily Allen Jewelry. No word on if it will be available stateside or not.

The documentary that has everyone in fashion talking will have a fabulous opening night party and private dinner hosted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour. ‘The September Issue’ – all about Vogue Magazine’s style and trend defining yearly issue – has been buzzed about for a long time and will get it’s glamourous debut August 19th. Wintour will undoubtedly have a plethora of fashion giants, socialites and celebrities in attendance looking their absolute best.

G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra is going to be such a mega hit.  I can hardly wait.  Some of the classics have to make these comebacks and this is one that I am really glad did.

Newlywed Channing Tatum, along with  Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, and Marlon Wayans went down under to Sydney, Australia yesterday (July 20th) for a press conference, promoting the film.  I think they all look great.  I love the casual look.  They don’t need to always dress it up, you know?

The movie hits theaters on August 7th.  That is just around the corner!  I can’t wait! How pumped are you?

The Hills star, Kristin Cavallari was out in New Jersey on Saturday night (July 18th).  Kristin was at DJ AM’s nightclub, Dusk in the Caesars Atlantic City Casino.

I think she looks absolutely gorgeous in that golden dress.  And how ’bout that Rafe bag?  LOVE it!  I am sure that Kristin enjoyed a little time away from The Hills.  Everyone needs a little down time, even from ‘reality’.

In case you didn’t hear, Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil are officially over now.  They were granted a “quickie divorce…on the grounds of Amy’s adultery.”  But finally being done with Wino is not enough for Blakey.  He’s asking for a £6 million ($9.8 million US) – approximately 2/3 of Amy’s estimated worth – in their divorce.

Blake apparently feels entitled to her money because his infidelity (before they were married) inspired Amy’s album, Back to Black.

“Blake’s family don’t want him to ask for money but he hasn’t given up on a hefty payday.   He thinks he was a big part of her success with Back To Black and deserves money for what he put up with.”

A friend of hers called Blake’s request “absolutely ridiculous.”

“Amy did write Back To Black when Blake left her, but why on earth should he be getting a dime for making her feel so bad?  She was at her lowest ebb when she wrote that album. Her boyfriend had left her for another woman and she poured her heart and soul into the writing process.

“It’s like saying that the man who writes a book about his murdered wife should give the murderer some of the profits.”

Interesting logic there.   I think I’ll make sure the rest of my kids’ childhoods are just heinous, so I can sue them for part of the proceeds when they write their memoirs!  And all my exes?  Get to it, folks!  I just discovered my new gravy train!

Emma Watson definitely seems the brainy type, and that’s not just me confusing her with Hermione Granger.     She told Paste magazine that she is planning to attend Brown University in the fall.

Emma plans to major in literature.  She’s looking forward to all the reading:

“It sounds so geeky, but I really do like studying and reading, and if I’m not working on Harry Potter, then my greatest relaxation is to sit with a book,” she explained. “That’s how I escape stress—in literature. I always have several books on the go at any one moment, so it’s no good you asking ‘What’s on the bedside table at the moment, Emma?’ because often I can’t even see the table! I think that all that reading is just about the only similarity I have with Hermione, if you ask me”

Emma said that going to college will fulfill a longstanding goal, and also make her feel just like any other young adult.

“I’ve always wanted to go to university and I really want to finish my studies. I think Natalie Portman, when she was younger, said, ‘I’d rather be smart than an actress.’ I definitely feel her vibe. It doesn’t mean that I’m giving up acting or anything dramatic like that. I just want a normal experience for a while.”

Guess who’s going to be the most popular co-ed at Brown next year?  Good luck, Hermione!

Ummm… OK, even though I’m scratching my head trying to figure out whether this could be true or not, here’s the story:  evidently Fox News reports that Lionel Richie and Bai Ling were spotted out on a “romantic date” last week.  They dined at

Whist at Viceroy Santa Monica. According to an eye witness, Ling and Richie kept a low-profile and laughed and flirted throughout their meal.

Egads, what a combination.  I can’t even think of anything witty to say, because this is so weird.  I just hope Lionel has had all his shots, and we’ll leave it at that.
