Eva Mendes is the latest celebrity to slap their name on some stuff and hope to make money off of it.  Last week she launched the Vida by Eva Mendes bedding collection at Macy’s Herald Square in New York.   The collection is supposedly “Latin inspired” but I must be missing something.  But, if you love the idea of sleeping under a comforter with Eva’s name on it, it can be yours for around $385!

Ashely Tisdale, who’s latest album Guilty Pleasures was released today (July 28th) was spotted at the JFK airport in New York yesterday (July 27th).  She was carrying her super cute pooch, Maui (cool name!).  How adorable is that pup?  I want one!  Ash is obviously very attached to Maui, she doesn’t even travel without her little mate!  So sweet.

I’d also like to point out how good Ashley looks, look at her skin.  She is gorgeous.  That’s natural beauty, girls……

This is one movie I cannot wait to see.  Julie & Julia looks like a keeper, one that will be in my collection of ‘happy’ movies.

The Los Angeles premiere was held at the Mann Village Theater yesterday (July 27th).  My favorite look on the red carpet was on Ashley Greene (Twilight).  I don’t think she could look any hotter.  That dress was made for her body.  I absolutely love her messy hair bun.   The shoes I could live without, not my faves. But, I doubt anyone was really looking at her shoes….

Brad Pitt will always be a babe.  That’s just how it is.  He was in Berlin for a photo call and the premiere of Inglorious Basterds today (July 28th).  This film has been making waves since the first word of it broke.  Quentin Tarantino is amazing and his work speaks for itself.

There were some very happy Brad Pitt fans out there in Germany, check out the look on those girl’s faces.  I think they are in shock.  I would be too.  He’s just too hot!

Ha!  These pictures make me laugh.  They remind me of my childhood, pink, Barbie Corvette.  Katie Price aka Jordan was out in Surrey, England today (July 28th) driving her blinged out, pink horse trailer, customized to the ‘T’.  She’s even got the insignia on her hoodie.

I guess this is totally fitting for her.  I’d much rather see her driving her trailer than chasing her cleavage…..

Her character on Sex and the City may be all settled into married life and babies, but right now, Kristin Davis is just enjoying dating.  Right now, she’s dating someone new.  He is celebrity photographer Russell James.

“It’s been going on for a bit now,” says a source close to the actress. “She’s very supportive of him – she seems very happy.”

Back in June the happy couple attended a party celebrating his new photography book and the grand re-opening of the  Santa Monica’s Shangri-La hotel.

“They hung out at the party and were definitely a little flirty even in public. They seemed like an item,” said an observer at the time.

If nothing else, it sounds like Kristin and Russell are having a good time with each other.

All I can say is thank goodness.  I like Brett Favre and all, as a person.  But, enough is enough and his decision to opt out of playing for the Minnesota Vikings was the right one.  (In my opinion.)  This decision didn’t come easy today (July 28th) for the legendary quarterback,

“It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made,” Favre said. “I didn’t feel like physically I could play at a level that was acceptable. I would like to thank everyone, including the Packers, Jets and Vikings — but, most importantly, the fans.”

“I had to be careful not to commit for the wrong reasons,” Favre said. “They were telling me, ‘You went through all this, you had the surgery and you’ve got to finish it off.’ But I have legitimate reasons for my decision. I’m 39 with a lot of sacks to my name.”

Makes sense to me.  I congratulate Brett on a remarkable career.  I think he will live on in the game forever.  Good luck in the next chapter of your life, Favre.  You did good.

In a strange new marketing move, 15 minutes of Avatar will be screened in theaters (in 3D) for free on August 21st 2009. At Comic-Con James Cameron made the announcement:

We’re going to do something unprecedented. It’s a social marketing experiment. We’re going to take over as many IMAX 3D theaters and other select 3D theaters worldwide on August 21 and we’re going to let an international global audience come see 15 minutes of Avatar for free. It’s going to be Avatar day.

Sounds like an interesting idea, I wonder how long the lines will be for only 15 minutes of footage? What a great way to get people excited about the December release.

No one should really find this shocking at all.  In fact, it’s typical.  What these Hollywood wannabes won’t do to get their 15 minutes of fame.  This time it’s The Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Frankel.  She left the show to pursue her own reality TV show and in the process announced her engagement to, Jason Hoppy in order to get some more attention and hype for her show.

So, Bethenny is off The Real Housewives of New York City, probably doesn’t have her own show afterall, isn’t engaged, and well….I guess all we have to ‘look forward to‘ from Bethenny Frankel is her new book?

Hilary Duff has definitely grown up and looks absolutely amazing in this new Femme For DKNY Jeans ad.  Next to her are Sophie Srej and Gracie Carvalho on the streets of New York.

I can’t wait to see more from our latest Gossip Girl.  Hilary is perfect for this ad campaign and I think that DKNY is going to be really happy that they chose her. 100% class all the way.
