Life is more than imitating art, as True Blood co-stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are now engaged! Anna and Stephen play lovers on the HBO series, but at first decided to keep their off screen relationship private until February of this year.

“The reason it was dodged last year was very intentional on both our parts,” Moyer, 39, said at the time. “It was very important to me that the cast and crew we were working with didn’t feel it was fickle, and didn’t feel it could possibly potentially encroach on their lives, you know, just like, ‘Oh the two stars are having a thing.’ We didn’t want to take anything away from the show.”

Paquin, 27,  also shared that doing nude scenes for the show were much easier with someone she was already intimate with than with someone else.

“Obviously, if you’re already with that person then you’re not having to sort of get over the ‘Wow, I’m naked with someone that I don’t even know the middle name of!’”

The reps for the couple have confirmed that the twosome are, indeed, engaged but did not make a statement.   Good luck to the happy couple!
