Michael Phelps Drank & Drove On Suspended License (DETAILS)

tao_6_wenn2137701

Michael Phelps might be a hero in the Olympic world.  But, out here in the real world, he is anything but a role model.  In 2004 he pled guilty to driving while impaired and served 18 months of probation, we all know about his bong incident, there was the strippers issue, then the other night he was in a car accident when he admits to drinking beer before the accident happened.  To top it all off, Michael Phelps has been driving on a suspended license.  This is because he didn’t have prrof of insurance and they suspended it.   He wasn’t at fault for this accident.  But, I hate to think what’s next for him.

All I am saying is, Michael Phelps seems to have issues with being responsible.  Like it or not, he is a role model to a lot of kids out there and he needs to take that seriously.  What’s your take?

Ok the suspended license thing I’ll give you. Bad idea to be driving. Even with that, it wasn’t like he got it suspended for DUI. -but the other stuff….. Please. He is like any other kid his age. So what if he had a beer? He’s 24 years old. How many people go out to dinner and have a glass of wine or beer and then drive home? Yes, He’s an Olympian but I really doubt that his behavior is any different than most guys or even Olympians his age. We ALL have done irresponsible things in our youth. The difference is we didn’t have someone with a camera ready to take pictures and sell them to the highest bidder. There are bigger evils in the world. I say it’s time to give this kid a break.
