‘Agora’ Trailer Starring Rachel Weisz

agora

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming period drama starring Rachel Weisz Agora.

This movie doesn’t look all that amazing to me, but Weisz is amongst my favorite actors so I’d watch it because of her.

Rob Zombie is Remaking ‘The Blob’

rob_zombie_01blob1

Horror director Rob Zombie is moving on from Halloween remakes to remake The Blob.

Variety reports that funding is in place to make an R-rated $30 million film, and Zombie will complete the script while he’s on tour with his new album this fall. Producers are confident that a distribution deal will be made before the production begins in Spring 2010.

The original film tells the story of people of a small town who refuse to listen to a group of teenagers who witnessed a mysterious creature from another planet land on earth. The ever-growing giant blob of jelly absorbs the humans it contacts and destroys the town.

I must say, I’m very curious to see his take on a movie like the blob. It’s hard to make a gelatinous mass seem scary, although the original did frighten me as a child.

What it’s about: When Madea, America’s favorite pistol-packing grandma, catches sixteen-year-old Jennifer and her two younger brothers looting her home, she decides to take matters into her own hands and delivers the young delinquents to the only relative they have: their aunt April. A heavy-drinking nightclub singer who lives off of Raymond, her married boyfriend, April wants nothing to do with the kids. But her attitude begins to change when Sandino, a handsome Mexican immigrant looking for work, moves into April’s basement room. Making amends for his own troubled past, Sandino challenges April to open her heart. And April soon realizes she must make the biggest choice of her life: between her old ways with Raymond and the new possibilities of family, faith…and even true love.

Rating: Rated PG-13 for mature thematic material involving a sexual assault on a minor, violence, drug references and smoking.

Trailer:

Release Date: September 11th, 2009

Thoughts: Lets just put it this way, if you are a fan of Tyler Perry movies (which I am not) you’ll see this movie no matter what I say. I’m just expecting this movie to make a lot of money, like most of his movies do, and that’s that. Perry is a great business man!

Slowly the spacecraft’s shocking, deadly secrets are revealed…and the astronauts find their own survival is more important than they could ever have imagined.

Rating: Rated R for strong horror violence and language.

Trailer:

Release Date: September 25th, 2009

Miley Cyrus Gets Herself Into A Sticky Situation (photos)

Miley Cyrus does Millions of Milkshakes

Miley Cyrus decided to get dirty with her pals at Millions of Milkshakes yesterday (August 28th) in Los Angeles.  Why let them make your shake for you when you can make it even better yourself, right?

I think that would be tons of fun….I could never work there, I would gain a million pounds!  But I’d love to jump behind the counter one time and create a masterpiece of a shake!

Looks good, Miley!  Yummo!

Amy Winehouse’s Weekly Drug Tests

Amy Winehouse

Now that Amy Winehouse is back in London, her record executives are taking great steps to make sure her follow up album to the international hit Back To Black is not going to be a complete disaster. Record executives are having the soul singer take weekly drug tests. So far, it seems to be working, and Winehouse is keeping clean.

“Amy’s passed all the tests so far with flying colors,” “And she may do some dates in America with the last album before she releases her new one.

Those weekly drug tests are not the only precautions that the record label is taking. They are also having Amy Winehouse accompanied by minders at all times, though it can sometimes be too much for her.

“Amy has minders with her all the time — they even follow her to the toilet.
“Now and again she just has enough. When she ran away from them and got on the Tube on her own everyone was panicking. Obviously with that beehive she is going to get recognised. She was fine.”

I can’t imagine someone that looks like Winehouse getting onto the subway system and not being recognized by anyone. Let’s just hope that the songs she comes up with are better than the ones her label rejected earlier this year.

MORE Drugs Involved In DJ AM Death – Latest Details (photos)

DJ AM

TMZ has released more information on what the police found in DJ AM’s apartment when they discovered his body last night.  As we reported before, there were prescription pills which were found in the kitchen.  They found a glass crack pipe near his body and now the latest is that there was a bag of crack on the floor, near his groin area.

I know that we are still waiting for the toxicology reports and other test results, but I think we all know that DJ AM died of a drug overdose.  Adam Goldstein had been clean for 10 years.  But his recent breakup with Haley and the reigning aftermath of the plane crash were too much for him to take.

This is such a heartbreaking story.  I wish someone could have helped him……
