Congratulations to Elisabeth Hasselbeck (The View co-host) and her NFL hubby, Tim Hasselbeck! The latest edition to their beautiful family, Isaiah Timothy arrived this afternoon (August 9th) in a New York City hospital.  Little Isaiah weighed in at a perfect 7lbs, 7oz and is doing great.  He has a big brother and sister,Grace Elisabeth 4,  and Taylor Thomas 20 months ready to be big helpers.

Congrats again to the happy family!

Yes, Brooke Hogan’s proposal does come with a ring, but probably not the kind of ring you have in mind.

BROOKE HOGAN says she has been approached a number of times by Vince McMahon to follow in her dad’s footsteps and join the WWE.

Doesn’t sound like something every little girl dreams of growing up to become.  Although, Brooke maybe should consider it if she wants to keep her name in the spotlight, no matter how dim that may be.  Her last album sold a disappointing 3,381 copies.  So how does Brooke feel about this enticing offer?

“But it’s just not my interest. I’m more of a girly girl.” She added: “I would be good at it though, I would really kick ass at it — because I’m really strong and my dad’s trained me up since I was 12-years-old.”

If she changes her mind, she should wrestle under the name “Thunder Lips”, to honor her father’s glory days in Rocky III.

John Mayer and his mom, Margaret were leaving My House nightclub in Los Angeles last night (August 8th) when she took a tumble as she was trying to get into the car.

I think John was so cute, taking care of his mom.  You can see the look of concern on his face as he helps her up. Poor thing, she must have been so embarrassed.  All those paps snapping away as she takes a digger.  It’s ok, Margaret….we’ve all done it!

One can only hope that Paula Abdul’s sense of self worth has been restored given all the media frenzy over her recent decision not to return to American Idol.  However, when she daydreamed about how her soon-to-be broken hearted fans would cope with this news, did she ever imagine one taking a few punches for her?  Paula must have a way of inspiring young talent because she sure made a big impression on Idol’s Season 4 veteran, Constantine Maroulis.

“American Idol” alum Constantine Maroulis, 33, got his butt kicked by an Abdul hater during Casio’s G-Shock party Wednesday night at Cipriani Wall Street.

“It was hilarious! Constantine got into it with this guy who was probably 6 inches shorter and 60 pounds lighter,” laughs an observer. “The guy body-slammed him and punched him in the face and then just stood up, straightened his tie, and said, ‘B—ch, don’t you ever,’ before walking away.”

The attendee adds, “Security didn’t know what to make of this guy. He was so well-groomed in his suit, and he didn’t look like a threat at all. Constantine was so overwhelmed he just sat there on the floor for a few minutes.”

Not sure what hurt Constantine worse, the punch or his pride.  In an attempt to save face with his fans, he tweets:

“It broke up quick, didn’t even know him. Or throw one punch. I don’t mind a fight … but only when it’s fair and I’m looking!”

Awww….it’s okay Constantine!  Nothing wrong with defending a woman’s honor!  I’m sure Paula appreciates the gesture!

Mel Gibson enjoyed his evening at Nobu last night (August 8th).  In fact, I think he enjoyed it a little too much.  As you can see, his shirt is halfway unbuttoned and a tad wrinkled.  Where is his preggo girlfriend, Oksana?  Hmmm, is that a man purse he is holding too?

I think he is now reminding me of his movie, Forever Young…the part where he is aging.  Still looks good to me…..

Sometimes I am left speechless at people’s actions.  This is one of those times.  Hmmmm, NHL player, Patrick Kane who plays for the Chicago Blackhawks gave a poor cab driver a brutal beating over 20 cents.  Yep, 20 cents.  The cab driver didn’t have the correct change to give, so Kane and his buddy beat the crap out of him.

The cab driver told police he was punched in the face and head, grabbed by the throat and had his glasses broken during the incident.

Patrick Kane, being the major d-bag that he is, has entered a plea of not guilty,

Both men were charged with second-degree robbery, a Class C felony, as well as fourth-degree criminal mischief and theft of services, both Class A misdemeanors.

Kane better not get away with this.  What he did is wrong on so many levels.

Tracy Morgan, aka Brian Fellows from SNL is divorcing his wife, Sabina.  They have been married for 23 years but separated 8 years ago.

Tracy Morgan filed divorce papers in the Bronx Supreme Court Friday (August 8th).

I never knew people ‘separated’ that long.  Were they just to lazy to do the divorce paperwork?

I guess this won’t really be tough or much of a transition for the couple’s three kids.

The moment may have been unforgettable, but that doesn’t mean Amy Adams was paying attention when her long time boyfriend, Darren La Gallo , proposed.  The couple were on a carriage ride through Central Park, but all Amy could think of was her last day of filming on Julie and Julia.

“I got engaged the night before we wrapped Julie and Julia,” she said. “It was funny because I was actually running lines from the script in my head while we were taking this romantic carriage ride in Central Park.

“I felt really bad for Darren. I was like: ‘You should get a re-do because you were cheated.’ All I was thinking about was my last day at work.”

Can you imagine? He was probably so concerned about everything going well, but she wasn’t even paying attention.

Just because she wasn’t paying attention then, doesn’t mean that she doesn’t appreciate all that he does for her.

“Darren gives up a lot and gives me a lot. He comes to visit me on set. He draws me a bath when I get home. He’s an actor and also an artist and he sends me drawings. Just lots of sweet little things to keep us connected.”

The couple, though engaged for a year now, has yet to set a firm date on when they will get married.

Here’s Sienna Miller on the red carpet at a Hollywood screening of her new movie G.I. Joe:  The Rise Of Cobra.

Yes, you read that right, that is Sienna MILLER.  I know, I did a double take too.  She looks so… ladylike.  And proper.  And downright demure.   Is she trying to refute her own comment about her affair with Balthazar Getty (“I probably seem like not a particularly nice person”) by trying to look like a nice person?  Or has she finally gotten a fashion clue?  This is, after all, the second time in recent months that she’s surprised me by looking good.

But seriously, though, she DOES look good.  Great, actually.  The color of her dress is super flattering, and even though it’s fairly simple, the sparkly fabric makes it more special.  Her hair is very pretty long and wavy.  This is great stuff, Old Hollywood glamour.   The only thing I would change is her lipstick – it needs to be toned down several shades – but otherwise, she’s perfect.   Well done!
