What it’s about: Set in a future-world where humans can control other humans in mass-scale, multi-player online gaming environments, a star player (Butler) from a game called “Slayers” looks to regain his independence while taking down the game’s mastermind (Hall).

Rating: Rated R for frenetic sequences of strong brutal violence throughout, sexual content, nudity and language.

Thoughts: Although the concept is something I find interesting, I just don’t think it looks like it was well executed. The movie looks pretty cheesy to me, I hope I’m proven wrong.

Jon Gosselin has been playing the field like a pro since splitting from his wife, Kate Gosselin.  But, it looks like Jon might just be slowing his roll a bit as he is confessing his love for one woman.  Which one?  Hailey Glassman (the 22 year old stoner) is the ‘winner’.  She was Jon’s first fling and apparently she did it for him the ‘best’.  He even gave then the title, “boyfriend and girlfriend”.  Ew.

Jon will always ‘love’ Kate, but only for the fact that she is the mother of his 8 kids….

“I love Hailey,” he says. “I’ll always love Kate. I went through a whole bunch of pictures today, and it’s sad to see something that was good turn bad but we moved in two different directions. We know that.”

“I have no ill will toward Kate. She’s the mother of my kids. She’s a great mom. She does a lot for them.”

Well thanks for acknowledging how much Kate does do for those kids while you’re out partying, Jon.  Geesh. If he’s in love with Hailey then great.  Maybe he will stop acting like a single college guy now and get focused on the kids again. Have a serious relationship with Hailey Glassman and stop messing with her mind too.

The Standard Hotel in New York City is getting a lot of ‘naked’ attention these days.  Some positive and some negative feedback.  The Standard Hotel has floor to ceiling windows that put everything going on inside the room on display for the people below at the High Line Park below.

City officials think that it is “unacceptable”.  I think I have to agree with them.  I would not want my children looking up to see the porn style acts going in pretty much broad daylight.

People have been witnessing every kind of sexual act through these hotel windows, including professional pornos being filmed.  It makes me wonder how this is allowed….isn’t this against the law?  Kathleen Neill was just arrested in New York for posing nude for ‘art’…..  How is this any better?  It’s not, it’s WORSE!

The Standard Hotel issued a statement on Monday saying its managers will try harder to “remind guests of the transparency” of the windows.  Yeah, that sounds really effective.  The hotel is loving all this free publicity.  I am sure their rooms are booked for months!  The hotel won an award from the Municipal Arts Society of New York for best new building erected in 2008.  Don’t you just love the play on words?

Ok, so what do YOU think? Should they close the curtains at The Standard Hotel or should this public nudity be allowed to continue?  Sound off below……

The Hills star, Kristen Cavallari was seen on the beaches of sunny Malibu filming scenes for the show yesterday (August 28th).  Kristen was rocking the bikini and natural beauty.  I am loving her hair!

Don’t you just love it when you get caught picking out a ‘wedge’?

All I can say is, it must be rough to be Kristen Cavallari.

I do believe the mourning for the loss of a great guy, DJ AM will continue for quite some time.  The story behind what led up to his death is heartbreaking (details here).

There is currently an autopsy being performed on Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) and we will have those results for you as soon as they are released right here on Backseat Cuddler.

R.I.P. DJ AM

UPDATE:

The autopsy has been completed by the Medical Examiner’s Office in New York City and there is no determination as to the cause of death, YET.  It will likely be several weeks before we know the exact cause.  There will be more tests performed, most importantly the TOXICOLOGY report.

Kim Kardashian appears on the cover of YRB this month in her strangest look yet.  Yes, even stranger than the wanna-be vampire look.   I mean, OK, this photoshoot is very glamorous and creative.  The clothes are amazing, and the lighting/styling of the shoot is just super. But… this doesn’t even look like Kim Kardashian at all.  She says on her blog that she was “totally transformed” in these photos, and it’s true.  So why bother using Kim as the model?  Why not get someone who looks like the person you want to photograph?

Anyway, that’s my rant.  Here’s what Kim said on her website about this shoot:

My YRB Magazine shoot just came out and I am loving the results! I love the photog, Mike Ruiz, and my stylist Darius Baptist was amazing! The always wonderful Troy Jensen did my makeup!! This shoot was done the day I left for Africa. I really love the transformation and the clothes were amazing!!! This has got to be one of the most unique shoots I’ve ever done! Not sure I’ll ever go for a permanent short cut, but it definitely works for this shoot.

What do you all think?  Is Kim just having a little too much fun playing dress-up doll, or am I just being a snarky blogger?  Wait, don’t answer that…

Kendra Wilkinson has posted some images from a pregnancy photo shoot on her website.  She’s so thin and tiny that her baby bump looks nearly fake!  In addition to Kendra and her belly, husband Hank Baskett and their dogs also got in front of the camera.

She had this to say about the photos:

The other day Hank and I did a preg photo shoot at our new east coast home and I wanted to share a few behind-the-scenes pics with all of u!   Being pregnant has been such an amazing and exciting experience for both of us and we wanted to have these photos as a reminder of this incredible time in our lives

Can u guys believe how much my belly has grown???  I feel like it was just yesterday that it was a teeny tiny bump lololol.

I hope u enjoy the pics and as soon as we have the final images I’ll be sure to post them.  I can’t wait to see how they turn out!!!!!  I love the pic of Hank and I on the stairs…it makes me smile every time I look at it!!!

I think my favorite picture of all of these is the one of the pooches!  But I’m wondering what they have to do with the pregnancy?

Oasis is one of my all time favorite bands.  So when I just got the news that Noel Gallagher has quit the band, I got choked up.

Noel quit after a dramatic pre-concert fight with his bandmate brother/band mate, Liam.  This happened just days after they axed a performance at the V Festival in Chelmsford, England.   They walked away from the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, France, on Friday (August 28th) just before they were supposed to be on stage, performing!

Disappointed fans were told on giant screens that “an altercation within the band” was to blame, and singer Amy McDonald has confirmed there was a bust up, posting an account of the brothers’ tussle on her Twitter.com page.
She wrote, “Cancelled again with one minute to stage time!!! Liam smashed Noel’s guitar, huuuge fight!”
Noel then took to the band’s official website where he posted a statement, tendering his resignation from the group he founded with Liam 18 years ago.
It reads, “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight.
“People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.
“Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan.”

This means that the end of their world tour isn’t going to happen and fans are going to be crushed everywhere!   So much for the statement they made earlier this week saying that the band would be completing the tour.

This is a sad day for the music world……

DJ AM has died and there is a dark cloud hanging over everyone’s head.  The stars are all giving their condolences and there are a lot of tears being shed.  What a sad day.  Too many of these lately.  The photo above was from DJ AM’s last public appearance.

The details are still coming in as investigators are searching Adam Goldstein’s apartment.  DJ AM’s body was found face down in his New York City apartment at about 5:30pm.  He was only wearing sweatpants.

TMZ is reporting these updates:

UPDATE 7:51 PM ET: We’re told his body has not been removed from the apartment.

UPDATE 8:10 PM ET: Sources say a pipe commonly used to smoke drugs was also found inside the bedroom.

UPDATE 8:35 PM ET: A law enforcement source on scene tells TMZ a glass “crack pipe” was found in his bedroom. The pill bottles were found in the kitchen.

UPDATE 9:15 PM ET: Law enforcement sources say the call came in at 5:24 PM — the FDNY responded at 5:27 PM. We’re told DJ AM was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:00 PM.

UPDATE 10:33 PM ET: Crime scene investigators just entered the apartment with evidence bags.

The evidence so far points to a depressed suicide.  It’s just so sad.  I knew that DJ AM was pretty down after his breakup with Haley Wood, but I don’t think anyone saw this coming.  Between the plane crash last September and this tough breakup, that could have been enough….

DJ AM’s last Twitter (below) almost seemed like a suicide note…..

New law student, and new daddy, Jerry O’Connell dished on what life is like with new born twins, life on set, and future adoption? O’Connell is married to actress/model Rebecca Romijn.

O’Connell, when not in law school, is able to be with his new twins on the set of Romijn’s new show, Eastwick.

“I went to my wife’s work yesterday, and she was in the middle of a very dramatic scene,” O’Connell said. “And I had the kids there, and one of them was like, ‘Bwaaahhh.’ It was very verbal and busted the scene up.”

“I thought it was funny, but I don’t think the director did, so I got the heck out of there,” he continued. “I had a long talk with the girls about show business, but I don’t think they had any idea what the heck I was talking about.”

That’s hilarious, but I can imagine how that might not be so endearing to the cast and crew of the show.

Jerry went on to explain just how he and his wife are planning to expand their family in the future.

“This is it,” O’Connell said. “Factory closed. It’s over. Now we’re just adopting dogs.”

I guess when you have two at once, it can some of the planning a little easier.

I wonder if he’ll have to have the same show business chat with their new dogs?
