And yet another example of home-school ignorance. People think that if you do not attend a public institution (or private) where you must physically attend class, then you will not get a proper education. She was home schooled and graduated. Simple. Many kids/teens do not do well in public education for loads of reasons. So her best fit was to get her education via distance learning. So what. Ignorant people consider that as "dropping out". On the contrary; its an educational alternative that happened to fit her needs. An alternative MANY people (even graduate students) are pursuing. Simple.

Kristen Stewart stopped going to "regular high school" because of her job. By law, she was required to do a kind of independent study where teachers visit underage actors on set (if they're working) for a couple hours for lessons. When you turn 18, you are considered a hs graduate, granted that your work is passable. If anyone was an accomplished actor at such a young age, I think they would feel uncomfortable going to school where people treat you different from everyone else. She's not a hs dropout. She simply was just glad to leave the schedule and society of regular high school.
