Brad Pitt has reportedly spent $82,000 on a custom-designed home for his kids’ pet gerbils.   Ridiculous, right? At first I thought it could possibly be true, though… after all, Brad spent a hell of a lot last year on some bizarre furniture and rugs.  And plus, he’s freakin’ Brad Pitt – he has enough money to spend as much of it as he wants, however he wants, right?

But then I read the description of the gerbil habitat, supposedly designed by Brad himself.  It includes:

labyrinths, tunnels, multiple platforms, seesaws and heated swimming pools

And honestly, they had me until the swimming pool part.  Gerbils are desert animals and they don’t like to swim!  Silly celebrity gossip.   Wait, what?  Me?  No!  See, I don’t make UP anything.  I just report on what I hear.  I’m not that creative!
