‘Hangover’ Galifianakis Might be in ‘Kind of a Funny Story’

Zach Galifianakis from the summer hit The Hangover is in negotiations to star in a new film called It’s Kind of a Funny Story.
Zach Galifianakis is in negotiations to star in “It’s Kind of a Funny Story,” the coming-of-age dramedy from “Half Nelson” writer-directors Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden.
Focus Features and Misher Films are teaming on the project. Wayfare Entertainment is financing and producing. A shoot date this year is planned.
The pic, based on Ned Vizzini’s young-adult novel, tells of a teenage boy who, after a bout of depression, is sent to a mental institution, where he ends up in the adult ward and meets a number of offbeat adults as well as a quirky teenage girl.
He’s obviously going to play one of the offbeat adults. He’s proven himself by starring in The Hangover and being pretty funny, now the roles are just falling into his lap. I hope he stays fresh for a long time to come.
