It really is ridiculous that there are movies coming out based on board games like Candy Land, Monopoly and Battleship. The studio’s are so incredibly unwilling to take any risks.

Apparently the juggernaut film Titanic is going to be re-released again in theaters in 3D.

Ten years after Titanic sailed its way into our hearts forever, the movie is getting re-released! The James Cameron hit will be released in theaters in 3D.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, studios are looking to take several box office hits out of the vault for a second release in 3D.

Universal distribution president Nikki Rocco says, “I know we’re all watching this to see if there’s something there. The uniqueness of 3D definitely brings something different to the table.”

This makes a lot of sense considering it’s James Cameron, he’s more than a little obsessed with turning the world of entertainment 3D. I won’t be seeing it again, once was enough.

Mackenzie Phillips is coming to the defense of her father, John Phillips after revealing that she had a sexual relationship with him for 10 years. Say WHAT?! Who defends that?  Mackenzie Phillips does.

She talked with Meredith Vieira on the Today Show today (Sept 24th) saying  [John Phillips] “was not a bad man. He was a very sick man” and that what they had was not an “affair” like we have been reporting it to be.  ”He didn’t set out to hurt me.  He did the best with what he had. He was a damaged guy.”  He did the best he could?  How can she say that?

I can’t believe Mackenzie is saying this stuff.  She is obviously not ever going to be right in the head after all the drugs and a 10 year sexual relationship with her father.  What a sickening, sad story.

Dancing With the Stars pro, Karina Smirnoff is joining the crowd of stars that gets naked for PETA.  She wants to prove a point and make a difference when it comes to NOT wearing fur.  I guess that the PETA campaign people and the stars think people won’t wear fur if the see celebrities get naked?  I think people just want to see the nudity and will keep wearing fur.

But, I will give Karina props for standing up for something she believes in.

“You have a choice as an individual, you have a choice in the press, in the world, whether to make a statement that you do support killing animals or make a statement when you don’t. And you can still be as chic as you can possibly want to be.”

Karina says she’d ‘rather dance naked than wear fur’ and I think that the entire world would love to see that!  Ha!  Can you imagine?!

It’s a boy!  Congrats to our favorite hostess, Julie Chen and her hubby, Leslie Moonves!  Baby Charlie was born this morning (Sept. 24th) at 9:40 am.  The little man made his debut a little early, Charlie was due on October 4th.  But, I guess he knew his momma had some down time now with Big Brother being over.

Congrats to the happy family!!

The Hills star, Heidi Montag Pratt is lined up to co-host on The View October 1st in place of Elizabeth Hasselbeck who is still out on maternity leave.  The last time we saw Heidi Montag on The View, she was with her husband Spencer Pratt and they as usual made themselves look pretty stupid.  In fact, Heidi compared herself to Mother Teresa. Eeeek!  I sure hope she keeps her own ‘praises’ at home as well as her issue of Playboy.  As long as she remembers that she co-hosting and is not the center of attention, she’ll be okay.  I’ve got my fingers crossed for her.

It was a great opening to the 9th season of Dancing With The Stars.  We got a good feel for the contestants and maybe even have our faves picked out (Kelly Osbourne!).  Last night two celebs were sent home: Macy Gray and Ashley Hamilton.  I think they were the right choices.  They just were up to par and certainly didn’t have what it takes to go all the way.

The highlight of the night was the tribute to Patrick Swayze who was a first season mentor on the show.  Pull out the Kleenex and watch below,

Patrick Swayze will be missed dearly.  My hearts breaks everytime I think about him.

Halloween is supposed to be a fun and scary holiday right?  But where do you draw the line on the scary or horrific part? The King’s Island Amusement Park in Ohio more than crossed that line when putting together the displays for their annual Halloween Haunt.

This year the park is taking advantage of the tragic celebrity deaths that have taken place this year.  Steve McNair, Heath Ledger, Michael Jackson, Ed McMahon, Ted Kennedy and Farrah Fawcett have all been mocked by the park with horrible skeleton displays reenacting their causes of death.

Heath Ledger’s showed him dressed as the Joker with pills all around ‘him’.  As you can see in the pictures above, they have Steve McNair’s likeness on a couch with his killer laying in his lap.  Sahel Kazemi shot McNair and then herself.

This has caused a huge outrage as it should.  Such disrespect to the families still mourning the loss of their loved ones is so wrong.  The park director, Don Helbig removed the McNair display but gave this warning,

“(There’s) a lot of intense imagery, suggestive themes and things like that, so if you have young children, don’t bring them to Halloween Haunt.”

Scary is fine.  Disrespect is not.  Adults don’t want to see this crap.  The park should be boycotted.  The public needs to make a statement that we want nothing to do with a park that would try to profit off of tragic death.

Yes, it’s time for another Housewife to get naked.  Kelly Killoren Bensimon from The Real Housewives of New York City will be posing for Playboy in the December 2009 issue.

The photographer might just surprise you though…. it’s her husband!  Gilles Bensimon took the snaps already and seeing how Kelly was a model in her past, I am sure that she did an amazing job.

I think it is weird though, for your husband to take nude pictures of you for other men to ‘enjoy’.  Is that odd to you too?
