Here’s the trailer for the upcoming John Travolta actioner From Paris With Love.
Although this trailer is better than the red band version, it still doesn’t look very good to me at all. It would take a lot of great personal recommendations to get me to go see this one.

Voltron is a movie that has been in development for quite some time, now it’s facing some legal issues.
In a suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, indie producers James Young, Ford Oelman and Mark Costa of banners Animus Films and NHO Entertainment allege that St. Louis-based World Events, which holds rights to the television property, and its partner Kickstart Prods. negotiated illegally with other producers during what the producers say was an exclusive period…
…Credits have become a popular battleground for producers who say they are disenfranchised, particularly in the indie and specialty world, where many cooks can work on a project before it reaches the screen. In 2006, Bob Yari famously battled producers of “Crash” over credit on the eventual Oscar winner for best picture.
“Voltron” has been on Hollywood’s radar for years, but the project has taken a long path through development, with potential deals for Lionsgate, New Regency and Relativity all falling through before Atlas boarded it this summer
Basically this is just people demanding a slice of the pie because they contributed some of the ingredients. This is a money making business and people will stop at nothing to get it, whether it belongs to them or not.

After years of creating an unrealistic self image for young girls all over the world Barbie is getting a live action movie.
After months of negotiations, Universal has acquired the rights to the iconic Mattel toy to make a live-action feature.
Laurence Mark, whose credits include “Jerry Maguire” and “Julie & Julia,” is producing.
Barbie, celebrating her 50th anniversary as one of the top toy brands in the world, has never been adapted into a live-action film, though not for Hollywood’s lack of trying. Mattel has been extremely protective of the toy, which has generated billions of dollars, wanting nothing to tarnish the polished image…
…It is unclear how the toy will translate. Barbie’s full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts; is sometimes a high school teen, but at times a pilot, military officer, teacher or astronaut; drives a slew of cars; dates a man named Ken; and has friends straight out of a United Colors of Benetton ad.
I guess it was inevitable, the big question is who will play Barbie? I want your feedback, who do you think could pull of the iconic and generic character? Will it be an established actress, or an unknown?

Gavin Hood, who directed X-Men Origins: Wolverine wants to direct X-Men Origins: Magneto.
…against the wishes of people who paid to watch X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Hood has expressed interest in the next installment of the series, X-Men Origins: Magneto. Talking to MTV, Hood said, “Absolutely, if I was asked I’d take an interest.” He continued, “But the truth is I haven’t been asked, and I think that the studio right now is waiting to see how we do with the [X-Men Origins: Wolverine] DVDs, and who knows where we’ll all be if and when a [Wolverine 2] script is ready.” He goes on to talk about the psychological complexity of Magneto as a character.
I’m going to guess that the studio hasn’t asked him to jump on board for a reason. For one, they’ve got comic movie god, David Goyer on deck ready to take over the project. For those who have forgotten, Goyer was half responsible for the scripts of both Batman Beginsand The Dark Knight.
I really hope they don’t give it to Hood, I thought Wolverine was severely lacking. Magneto needs a better director attached, here’s hoping it’s better than the last film.

90 miles southeast of Dallas, Texas in Tyler, a high school music teacher has been stabbed to death. One of the students at John Tyler High School stabbed 50 year old,Todd Henry. The students name has not been released but is being held by police. The rest of John Tyler High School students were sent home early.
Jody Henry is Todd Henry’s brother said, ” Todd Henry was a music therapist who worked with special needs students.”
Todd R. Henry was a talented musician who had a heart for the students he worked with and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Todd’s family and friends.

This story is still so sick and shocking to me. I don’t know if I will ever be able to hear about it without feeling sick to my stomach. Mackenzie Phillips revealed that she had a 10 year long sexual relationship with her FATHER, John Phillips (Mamas and the Papas).
Mackenzie’s half sister, Chynna Phillips (Wilson Phillips from the 90s) has come forward to talk about the day she found out about the sick affair.
Mackenzie gave Chynna the news on the phone when Chynna was at the airport in NYC, waiting for her flight in 1997. This was 11 years after the affair had ended.
“She said, ‘I don’t know why, but I just really felt the need to call you and tell you something that I think you need to know,’” Chynna tells Us Weekly. “And she went on to tell me that she had had an incestuous relationship with our dad for about 10 years.”
Chynna was of course in complete shock from this horrible news.
“Somebody could have dropped a piano on my head and I probably wouldn’t have felt it,” the singer tells Us Weekly. “But I knew it was true. I mean, who in their right mind would make such a claim if it wasn’t true?”
She says the news sent her into “a deep, deep sadness and depression for about 10 days. A part of me died when I found out.”
This sick relationship had a foundation of serious drugs behind it all Chynna reveals,
“They were both doing drugs together.”
“After long nights of heroin use, she’s claiming that she once woke up and that my father was on top of her having sex with her,” Chynna tells Us Weekly. “Was he actually raping her? I don’t know. Do I believe that they had an incestuous relationship and that it went on for 10 years? Yes.”
The bottom line for me is that John Phillips is one of the sickest humans ever. Honestly. I feel ill. You can read even more on this horrible story in this week’s issue of Us Weekly.
