Kate Gosselin has reportedly been offered $400,000 to pose nude for Playboy.

“Hugh [Hefner] sent her a letter, but Kate was totally mortified and threw it away!” a source told Star Magazine. “She didn’t think it was appropriate because of the children.”

Despite being “proud of the way she looks,” Kate was baffled by the offer.

“Baffled” isn’t quite the word for what we are, though.  “Grossed out” is more like it.  Hugh Hefner must be losing his mind.  We’ve already seen Kate in a bikini, and believe me, that’s more than enough.

Lisa Duffy and Keith Duffy posed for pictures in Dublin, Ireland to launch of Donegal Tweed Jimmy Choo Boots in aid of Irish Autism Action held at Brown Thomas.

Ok, what girl doesn’t love her Jimmy Choo’s?  And when they are linked to a good, charitable cause….well, that’s makes them all the more reasonable to purchase!  25% of these limited edition boots proceeds will go to IAA.  That is fabulous.  That can add up really fast and make a huge difference.

Kudos to the whole group on making a difference in the fight to cure Autism.  It’s a tough battle and they can use all the help they can get.

In true ‘Samantha fahsion‘, Kim Cattrall was seen giving an NYC driver ‘the bird’ as she crossed the street while filming a scene for the Sex and the City sequel.  I love it. Samantha still rules and won’t take sh*t from anyone!  Hilarious!  Sex and the City 2 continues to film and the rest of us stand by wait for the next set of pictures to be released!  I love the anticipation!

It might have been a night for the men.  But, the GQ Men of the Year Awards held at the Royal Opera House in London was owned by the women.

Sure, the men looked great too.  But, the ladies heated up the red carpet and totally stole the spotlight!  Kate Moss performed a pole dance in the auditorium wearing an Alexander McQueen dress, Lily Allen chose a Chanel sheer style frock to accept her Woman of the Year accolade and Giles Deacon, received the Designer of the Year award, while Eva Mendes was a total knockout in that purple, sweeping gown.

My favorite look of the night was on Freida Pinto.  She looking amazing. I have always loved her style.

As always, Lindsay Lohan was out shopping in New York City on Wednesday (Sept 8th) and of course she had to show Soho her ‘goods’.  Well, I am thinking that Lindsay needs her head checked.  Who goes out in the middle of the day dressed like that to shop with their mother?  Um, only Lindsay Lohan.

Dina, give your daughter a piece of advice and tell her not to go out in public dressed like a skank, during the day…. ask her to save it for her insane nightlife, would ya?

Am I alone?  Or does Lindsay Lohan not look ridiculous??

It’s a BOY! for Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.  The happy couple has officially announced the birth of their first son,

“In the middle of night, the very early hours of September 9, 2009, Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. He weighs 7 lbs. 14 oz. Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes.”

Okay, I am totally digging his name!!  It’s so unique and not at all weird.  LOVE IT!  Congrats to the happy family!!  It’s a perfect balance now.  One boy, one girl, two great parents.  Harlow is going to be a great big sis.

Melrose Place’s Ashlee Simpson, author/actress Alicia Silverstone and Friday Night Lights’ Connie Britton star on the upcoming October “20s, 30s, 40s” cover of REDBOOK magazine.

I love all three of these sexy ladies!  They are the perfect mix for this issue.  Nice choice, Redbook!

Here are a few highlights:

ASHLEE SIMPSON

On how having Bronx changed her: “I’ve grown up so much. The great thing about being pregnant is that you have nine months and it really does prepare you. Your body is changing, and it’s such an amazing time to feel that connection. I did prenatal yoga, which was a nice way to mellow down and focus on me and Bronx. Being pregnant was the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. Except for the cupcakes.”

On whether she ever envies Jessica for being “free”: “I really don’t. She’s always saying, ‘Oh, I want a baby!’ Being a mom’s so empowering and incredible. I’m one of those people who believes that life brings things to you at a certain time for a certain reason, and if you just go with it, that’s where the best moments come from.”

ALICIA SILVERSTONE

On life after the huge success of Clueless: “It was overwhelming. And I was really isolated. From 19 to 28 there was a lot of turmoil in my life, but in a stuck way. Then, around 28, my life started to get shaken up. I realized I wanted to grow more and that anything that wasn’t working in my life, I could fix it. I feel like I came into my womanhood. And that was when I got married. I wasn’t attached to the idea of marriage, but something about Christopher and me—when we got married, things got more clear. My life and my decisions.”

On her role model: “I love Susan Sarandon. She’s such a sexy, sassy, sophisticated woman—and playful. She’s such a great example of what a hot woman is.”

CONNIE BRITTON

On aging and how she stays in shape: “I’m in an environment where I have a lot of information about how to stay healthy and live a good life. I love vegan and raw food, I love to exercise. If I weren’t in this business, I think I would be aging differently. I’m fortunate because, for whatever reason, I’ve never looked at myself as, Oh, my gosh, I have to be the most beautiful. I’ve always worked from the inside out, not the outside in.”

On marriage and her Friday Night Lights co-star Kyle Chandler: “It’s been fun playing this role on Friday Night Lights. Kyle’s a great TV husband. We have so many conversations about partnership and what that means to us, what our values are. We have the same perspective on conflicts and where we need to make sure we are grounded and have solidarity. Choosing to be in a monogamous relationship is one of the greatest challenges of being a human being. I have a much less conventional view about it now. It’s about the partnership and the choice to make a commitment.”

Janet Jackson is covering the October 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.  In it she opens up about how she is dealing with the loss of her brother, Michael Jackson.

Janet Jackson hasn’t watched television since her brother Michael died suddenly in Los Angeles on June 25. She has blocked herself off completely from the hysterical media coverage of his death — who did it, what did it. “It will drive you crazy,” she says. “People can have rhinoceros skin, but there’s a point when something’s going to hurt you. Not everyone is stone, stone. I haven’t watched the news in weeks. I had to ask my chef, How’s Obama doing? I haven’t read a newspaper. On top of that, [we've lost] a family member.”

“I’ve been doing okay,” she says. “Work helps focus all of that energy on something that is of value to you.” She’s just back from vacation, a princely three days on a beach. “It was the first time I had to myself since Michael passed, the first time I could get away since all of that.”

She’s learned a lot in these past weeks. “I always wanted to have my mother’s [Katherine Jackson] strength, but I didn’t know if it was really there. But a few years back, something happened and I learned that I did.” She fixes you with a keen gaze. “I’m not going to mention it, but we all know what it is. And now, coming off all this, it’s even beyond that. I was just focused on my job at that moment within my family.” She pauses. “Now at least I know that I can step up to the plate and not crumble when I’m needed. When it comes to something like this that is so, so serious, so painful, so traumatic, I can handle it.”

Oh my goodness!  I would have never even thought to put Ellen DeGeneres on the American Idol judge panel to replace Paula Abdul!  I love it!  Ellen is perfect for the job!

“DeGeneres will sit alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi and offer her own unique perspective to the contestants throughout the competition,” Fox television says in a statement.

Ellen is really pumped for her second job too,

“I’m going to have a day job and a night job.  This is so exciting for me.”

So we will be seeing Ellen begin her new gig after the auditions have finished up.  They are sticking with the guest judges for the remainder of the crazy auditions.

Congrats to Ellen!  Can’t wait to watch!

Could this be the real reason that Katherine Heigl is taking time off from filming Grey’s Anatomy? Word is that Katherine and her musician husband, Josh Kelly, are adopting a little girl, and the process should be finalized this week.

A family friend spoke about the adoption saying that Katherine and Josh are very excited.

“She is thrilled,” “She and Josh are so happy.”

The baby is said to be coming from Korea and is about 10 months old. Their new daughter’s full name is Nayleigh and her nickname will be Leigh.

Congratulations to the couple and their new baby daughter!
