Britney Spears has a new single hit the airwaves tomorrow (Sept 30th) and it’s HOT!  ’3‘ will first be heard on New York’s Z100. Then you will be able to buy it when Britney’s best of collection called The Singles Collection is released on November 24th.

Studio Ghibli the studio that brought the world movies like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and My Neighbor Totoro have revealed the next film coming from the studio is called Taketori Monogatari (The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter). Hayao Miyazaki isn’t going to be directing but he’s got a lot of other work ahead of him!

Hayao Miyazaki, Takahata’s Studio Ghibli co-founder and probably the most cherished animator in the world, is “in discussions with studio staff to make two more feature-length films in the next 3 years”. I’m assuming that means he’s negotiating to direct two pictures, not to find directors for them, but I don’t think we can be entirely sure. He has (once again) been threatening to retire, after all.

Miyazaki is one of my favorite filmmakers, I’m anxious to see what his next project will be I don’t want him to stop making directing!

Danielle Harris has joined the CGI film Night of the Living Dead: Origins.

Danielle Harris (“Urban Legend,” “Halloween 4, 5″) has joined the cast of the 3D CGI feature “Night of the Living Dead: Origins” says STYD.

Zebediah de Soto and David R. Schwartz co-wrote the script described as an origin story without the involvement of George A. Romero. The aim is to update the tale partially by bringing out the characters’ backstories.

She certainly has experience in this genre, I just wonder how this movie is going to be worth making at all. I wish there were more pics being made from original ideas, but I guess having a known market gives them a better option in terms of making the bucks. Art and finance at odds.

Is supermodel Kate Moss tired of simply dating rock stars? Does she want to be one herself? It seems that Kate may be dipping her well paid pretty toe into the rock and roll waters.

Word is that Kate has registered with the Performing Rights Society, which protects UK musicians and songwriters. That means if she writes or performs music, she will receive royalties from it. Kate Moss may be joining up with her current boyfriend, Jamie Hince of the Kills.

“Jamie is so used to hearing Kate sing, at home and in karaoke, that he’s tempted to give it a go.

“She makes no secret of wanting to record more stuff before it’s too late for her.”

Aparently, Kate has been dabbling in writing music for a while. Back to even when she was dating Pete Doherty.

“Kate has co-written some songs with Pete Doherty and she will now be able to collect her share of the royalties.    “For any future songs she writes – and which are played on radio, TV or live – we will also collect the royalties due.   “Both Pete Doherty and Jamie Hince are members. We are glad to welcome Kate too.”

I am so tempted just to hear what Kate Moss’ music would sound like. I mean, I don’t even know what the woman sounds like when she talks, let alone when she sings.

Robert Pattinson might be best known for playing a sexy vampire, but he sure does a good job of bringing James Dean back from the dead in the most recent issue of AnOther Man.

We’ve seen this look on RPattz before – he did something similar for Us Weekly over the summer.  These photos, however, were shot by Hedi Slimane, and I think they’re great.  Very artsy-cool.

Kongrats to Kim Kardashian on inheriting a brother in law (Lamar Odom) and now getting back together with her ex, Reggie Bush. I guess that with all that romance in the air at Khloe and Lamar’s wedding, Kim and Reggie couldn’t resist each other any longer.

“They’re totally back together for real.  Kim and Reggie spent a few months apart getting their priorities together and figuring out who they were as individuals so they can make it work together.”

I knew that they wouldn’t stay apart long.  They are a great couple and I actually think that they belong together.  Yay! for love conquering all in the Kardashian household!

It’s only been a year and a half and Emmy Rossum’s husband,  Justin Siegel, has filed for divorce. Wow.  That was quick.  And just for the record, I thought they were only in a relationship, not married! Um, yeah…..

Naturally, Siegel is citing irreconcilable differences and is going to mooch off of Emmy for spousal support.   Thankfully they have no children, so that will help keep things less messy.

The unhappy couple has been unofficially separated since August and Emmy has been seen hooking up with Adam Duritz (Counting Crows lead).

So, was this a case of cheating or is Emmy just on the rebound already?  I’m just mostly annoyed that Justin is going for spousal support.  He’s got his own dough, why does he need to be supported?  What a d-bag.

Beyonce Knowles is apparently in the running to star in the the remake of the film, A Star is Born.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Brothers has hired up-and-coming screenwriter Will Fetters to do a draft on the script based on the 1970s flick.

The original starred Barbra Streisand as Esther Hoffman, a rising starlet who becomes romantically involved with a well-known male star. He shows Esther the way to stardom while forsaking his own career. As they fall in love, her success only makes his decline even more apparent.

THR says that Beyonce’s name has “surfaced in connection with the lead role” but she is “not officially involved at this point.”

I’m not fan of her acting, and I’m betting she won’t be getting this role. She should just stick to singing and performing on stage, not so much on camera in dramatic roles.
