Beatles – Lucy Vodden DEAD At 46 – Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds (Photos & Video)

Lucy Vodden dead at 46

I am very sad to report that Lucy Vodden has lost her battle with lupus at the very young age of 46.  Lucy is best known as the inspiration behind The Beatles hit song, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.  I personally love that song and have always held it dear to my heart.

Here is a bit about how the song came about,

Vodden first achieved pop culture fame as a tot, when John Lennon’s son Julian drew a picture of her in nursery school in 1966. He took the picture home to his pops, explained it as “That’s Lucy in the sky with diamonds,” and a song legend was born.

She confessed to be that Lucy a couple of years ago in an interview,

“I remember Julian and I both doing pictures on a double-sided easel, throwing paint at each other, much to the horror of the classroom attendant… Julian had painted a picture and on that particular day his father turned up with the chauffeur to pick him up from school.”

That is so sweet and I will never forget this picture (below).  Every time I hear or play this song on Rock Band, I will think of Lucy.

R.I.P. Lucy Vodden, you will be missed.

Picture Perfect Wedding For Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom (Photos)

Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian post wedding pic

It’s a done deal.  Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian are officially hitched…well, as long as they did it legally.  We will see in the next few days if the paperwork went through or if they waited for the prenup.

None the less, the wedding happened and by all reports, it was a picture perfect wedding that most girls dream of.  Khloe’s Vera Wang dress was amazing, perfectly matching her invites!  Who cares if it was thrown together in a couple weeks!  Less stress for the bride and groom!  Think about the months of stress and details that brides go through when doing it ‘traditionally’.

I love this picture (above), how sweet is it, these two are so comfortable together.  Leaving the wedding like that, it’s got to be true love.  I give the happy couple kudos!  You couldn’t have done it better and I really do with you the best with years and years of happiness!

The big day pictures haven’t been released yet.  There was a $300,000 price tag rumored to have gone to Ok! Magazine.  We will have to wait and see when they hit the stands…..  Until then, we will have to survive on the paparazzi shots floating around.  I can’t wait to see the real pics. I think they will be gorgeous.  Hurry up with them already!

New Poster For ‘The Hole’ Could be Anything

hole_ver2

Here’s the new poster for the upcoming film The Hole.

A pair of brothers stumble upon a mysterious hole in their basement that leads to the darkest corridors of their fears and nightmares.

This is the most basic poster you could have, “just have the actors stand in a row and snap the shot that’ll be really interesting.” who’s idea was this?

‘Venom’ Moving to Next Stages of Development

venom

Venom is slowly coming together and moving forward.

SCI FI Wire got a chance to talk to Zombieland co-writer Paul Wernick about the script for “Spider-Man” spin-off Venom that he wrote with Rhett Reese.

“We’ve written two drafts of Venom, and the studio has it, and they’re pushing forward in whatever ways they push forward,” Wernick said. He was tight-lipped about whether there was a relationship between Spider-Man 4 and theVenom project.

“We can’t really talk about that, unfortunately,” he added. “Basically, the studio and Marvel and the Arads are taking our drafts and going beyond and figuring out what’s the next step.”

This movie needs to be really high quality, the story needs to be solid. Venom needs to be somebody completely different than the version played by Topher Grace in Spider-Man 3, he was just all wrong for that part.

Great New ‘Imaginarium’ Banner with Depp, Ledger, Law and Farrell

imaginarium_of_doctor_parnassus_ver3

Here’s a new banner for the upcoming film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

The international marketing for this film has taken precedence for a while now, at least this poster is in English, I wonder when they will finally do some marketing here in the USA. In any case, this is a nice looking new banner.

The Pianist director Roman Polanski was arrested and faces extradition to the United States, but he’s not going without a fight.

COLOGNE, Germany — Roman Polanski has refused to be extradited from Switzerland to the United States over a decades-old underage sex case, the lawyer for the Oscar-winning director of “The Pianist” said Monday.

In a statement, Polanski’s French lawyer Herve Temime said he would ask Swiss authorities to release the 76-year-old director immediately.

“After that his defense team will demonstrate the illegal nature of the extradition request he is facing,” the statement said.

Jenny Slate FIRED From SNL For F-Bomb DETAILS! (Video)

Jenny Slate NOT FIRED!

Not in a million years peeps!  Jenny Slate is rumored to have been fired from SNL after accidentally dropping an F-Bomb on her debut night.  Watch the video here (NSFW). Thankfully it’s only a rumor and Jenny Slate is NOT fired.  The girl will rock on!

Lorne Michaels, the show’s executive producer, said from New York late yesterday that the moment was especially traumatic for Slate because “it was literally her first time on the show. There was nothing dirty, just a slip of the tongue. It was ‘frickin’, frickin’, frickin’ ‘ and then boom! The pain that Jenny is going through is, I’m sure, considerably worse than that experienced by anybody who saw it.”

I totally agree.  It was a total slip of the tongue.  If you are going to have a script like that, you are taking a big chance.  No one was hurt.  It’s all good.  I am very glad that Jenny Slate won’t be fired for something silly.  Honestly. It wasn’t an early morning children’s cartoon, folks!
