Shannen Doherty Lands Her Own Reality Show, Yes I Am Serious

Shannen Doherty

Shannen Doherty was most recently seen rooting for her ex, Ashley Hamilton on DWTS but that didn’t last long as he was eliminated during the first week. So what’s next for Shannen?  Why not a reality show?  What better opportunity to show the world that she’s not the b*tch we’ve been accustomed to for all these years?

“She’s excited about it, because she doesn’t want that stigma anymore of being a bitch,” a source told E! News. “They’re still figuring out exactly how it will be done. It may even have some scripted elements.”

I can understand that.  If she really is a good person, I would love to see that side.  So when will is all go down?

“I’ll be back on TV very soon, there will be an announcement very soon. I promise you that.”

Okay Shannen, we will be waiting here for your big announcement.  Can’t wait!

Neve Campbell Returning for ‘Scream 4′

scream4

Neve Campbell is set to return for the upcoming, long awaited sequel, Scream 4.

The head of Dimension Films Bob Weinstein confirmed the news to Variety, saying Neve will reprise her role as Sidney Prescott.

Production on Scream 4 will begin in April or May of next year. It will be the first film of a new trilogy and Wes Craven is in talks to direct once again. Campbell is joining returning stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette.

It’s funny how back then Campbell was made quite famous from the original trilogy, I wonder how these next films will treat her.

Brand New ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ Teaser Trailer Looks Promising

nightmare1

Here’s the brand new teaser trailer for the upcoming horror remake A Nightmare on Elm Street starring Jackie Earle Haley as the legendary Freddy Krueger.

I don’t think I would be very impressed by this if it were anyone else other than Jackie Earle Haley playing Freddy, I just know he’s going to bring a lot to the role. Looks like a pretty good remake to me, albeit extremely pre-mature.

American Idol – Simon Cowell Contract Details + ANOTHER Cowell Show!

Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell is finishing up getting his new contract for American Idol squared up with Fox.  It looks like Simon will be making around $45 million a year.  That will be $9 million MORE than he has been getting for previous seasons.  This will be a 2 year contract to take him through 2012.

On top of all that dough, Simon could see a lot more green if he comes to an agreement to bring an American version of The X Factor to The States.  This would end up more than doubling Cowell’s salary!  Eeek! He is almost finished with his last season as judge on the UL version of X Factor.  So, he would be free to judge here and there is even a rumor that Paula Abdul would be on the judge panel with Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh! Wow, that could be a big comeback for Paula!

I hope this happens!  I would love to have X Factor here!  What do you think?  Love it or hate it?

‘Bond 23′ and ‘The Hobbit’ in Trouble with MGM Going Under?

The Future of MGM is shakey to say the least, what will become of the next James Bond film and The Hobbit?

Deadline Hollywood is reporting that MGM is needing $20M in short-term cash flow to cover overhead, and an additional $150 million to get through the end of year to stay out of bankruptcy and possibly losing such franchisefilms as The Hobbit (and its sequel) and James Bond 23. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

So the bondhholders said to MGM, in essence, that they were going to let the studio go bankrupt and collect their money since they’d be first in line to get paid. But Cooper explained that this would be the worst possible outcome for the creditors and the company. Because if MGM were forced into bankruptcy, then it would lose James Bond and the studio doesn’t think it can stay alive without 007. Also, a lot of other issues would surface that would tremendously hurt MGM.

Also, if MGM goes through bankruptcy, that’s a very expensive prospect (where only the lawyers get rich), and extremely disruptive (since who would do business with MGM in the interim) and won’t get the creditors what they want which is their money back. It’s more than simply MGM losing Bond. The studio could lose a lot of other franchises.

I’m sure both The Hobbit and James Bond 23 will survive just fine even if MGM goes under. Both franchises are sure-fire money makers, another company is guaranteed to snap up either one.

Jason Bateman Talks ‘Arrested Development’ and ‘Hancock 2′

56834068

Jason Bateman talked to Coming Soon about his roles in Hancock 2 and Arrested Development. On Hancock 2:

“I only know what I’ve read,” Bateman said. “No one has contacted me or anybody that represents me to ask if we were interested. I don’t know anything about it. It’s surprising to me that Variety would write that story because they’re usually pretty well vetted before they report something and that was completely false. I haven’t heard anything about it. The whole thing about me being on board could not be farther from the truth. I would love to be a part of the film, but I haven’t heard anything about it.”

On Arrested Development:

“It’s still being written and my guess is that is will be shot some time next year,” Bateman added. “I have a feeling that Mitch [Hurwitz] is halfway done writing it. We’ll probably shoot it middle of next year and then for however long things take to get cut and marketed, so maybe the first part of 2011 I would imagine. That’s just a guess.”

I’m betting the Arrested Development movie is going to be really funny, much like the show was. As far as Hancock 2 is concerned, I don’t think there are many people who even care if it’s in development, the first one left a lot to be desired.

Who Does It Best? Miranda Cosgrove, Selena Gomez, Or Ashley Tisdale? (Photos)

Miranda Cosgrove

Saturday (Sept 26th) night was the 7th Annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party at Milk Studios in Hollywood and I must say, the night looked fabulous!

There were a lot of fresh, young, bright faces on the red carpet.  But, the power package was all about Miranda Cosgove, Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale. Wow, these girls owned it!  I have never seen Miranda Cosgrove look so beautiful.  The iCarly star is certainly growing up.  I see her going  along way in her career, she’s got a lot of spunk!  She definitely gets my vote. :)

Which young diva gets your vote for best look of the night?  Was is Miranda, Ashley, or Selena?  Drop a comment below for your fave!

Mickey Rourke to Play Famous Killer ‘The Ice Man’

mickey-rourke-1008

Mickey Rourke is set to play another bad guy, this time it’s the famed killer The Ice Man.

Hey kids, maybe if you murder a couple hundred people for the mob, Mickey Rourke will star in your life story, too. Stay in school. Last month, we wrote about the beef had by true crime writer and biographer, Philip Carlo, with actor/model Channing Tatum portraying Richard “The Ice Man” Kuklinksi in a feature film based on his book The Ice Man. Carlo deemed Tatum unworthy to play the infamous goon, who died in prison in 2006. Rubbing in his dislike for the young actor, Carlo put in a commendable word for the veteran Rourke. Well, the disagreement between Carlo and mega-producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura led to the latter’s rights expiring on the project last month; in the meantime, Rourke got in touch with Carlo and now he’s apparently set to star. Carlo says via the NY Post that Rourke thinks the movie could “be his Raging Bull.”

Talk about a dark role, Mickey Rourke has an evil character to absorb and perform. This is certainly not your average movie role, but I’m sure Rourke is up to the task.

Amanda Seyfried Thought Megan Fox Would Judge Her Kissing

Amanda Seyfried 4

She may have had her share of on screen kisses on Big Love and Mama Mia, but actress Amanda Seyfried did not enjoy kissing sex kitten Megan Fox for Jennifer’s Body.

“It was difficult to do,” said Seyfried. “I was uncomfortable, because I normally kiss men.

“Even in front of people — to kiss someone for the first time, female or male, is still awkward. And then — also, with a female, I was worried that she would judge me.

I would be terrified to kiss anyone of film. Have you ever watched someone kissing, not in the movies? They look so weird!

This must have been a difficult scene for Amanda to do, because she goes on with how hard it was.

“It was just awkward, because we were pals, and then we had to make out with each other.

“I have a good time making out with my male co-stars because I’m more comfortable with it, because I’ve kissed boys before in my life. I think I felt intimidated by Megan. It was harder to kiss a woman.”

I guess if I was a young woman, I’d be intimidated about kissing Megan Fox, too. Especially if we were friends. Or maybe, I’d be happy I finally had an excuse to smooch up on her. Oh, but it was for the film!
