‘Heroes’ Is Being Cancelled! Final Season! (Details)

Heroes fans, this is a sad day for you. Network executives over at NBC have asked the producers to wind things down on the show, possibly plan for the show’s finale by May.
“There isn’t much happening with this show in terms of audience, and giving it a ‘final chapter’ feel is something the network is considering to help allow the show to go out with a bang.”
So it looks like this will be the final season for Heroes. You should be getting all the answers you need to give you closure by May and that will be the end of yet another NBC show.
“I don’t think this should surprise anybody,” the source said. “The writing has been on the wall for some time.”
This is the time to support Heroes in any way you can think of if you want it to stick around. Start contacting NBC and let them know the show is still alive before they make the official announcement.

This is a terrible move.
They did the same to another great show, TSSC.
It was getting better and better and then they axed it.
Please, Don’t Axe Heroes NBC.
As much as I agree with you about TSSC… This tv show sucks BIGTIME.
First season was awesome, second season…. *WOOSH* That was the second season flying by without leaving a mark.
Third season it was a little better…
This season… Back to the quality of the second.
Should have left it at the first season in my opinion, and made room for TSSC instead.

As far as I’m concerned, this show had one good season. The first was incredible TV. Everything since is an abortion, and they can’t put it out of its misery soon enough.
Don’t cancel the show NBC please! ITS GOOD.
I agree with Matthew, this season has actually been written quite well. Definitely on its way to the quality of the first.
However, it *has* lost an enormous amount of viewers. Personally, I blame the piece of trash that was season 3, which was brought on by the writer’s strike - which forced the writers to end season 2 abrubtly, and rework what they had already written into a new season.
That’s just my opinion, though.
I don’t know, I figured the show would be winding down towards a final season, but I had hoped that it would be next season, or the season after that (to coincide with the Five Years Gone episode).
I’m afraid that if they “tie-up” all loose ends this season, then we’ll be left with something very lack luster, seeing as there are a ton of subplots going on that need to be resolved this season already.
NBC, if by some zany chance you read this, and if by some miraculous twist you agree, give the show one more season to go out with a “bang”, if you catch my drift.
Damn. I hope it doesn’t end. Heroes was a lot better in the first season but it’s still a really good show. Best sci-fi show out there. This and Lost that is. Damn. Come on!
I was a big fan after the first season endedthen they came back with a dumb, boring story line for season 2 and 3.
Listen, make it all a dream season for season 2 and 3 like Sylar was dreaming when he died in at the end of the first season then bring it back by using some type of ugly moster type vilan who dragged Sylar down that hole and begin there. This creature can not live in the light and his powers only work in the dark make him the very first bad guy. Start there and call me if you need more…
Im a fan of this show, but I don’t want to see Heroes go down the same path that Prison Break did going on longer then it should.
I’m glad to here the show is wrapping up.

This used to be my favorite show and then the plot started spiraling downward, but this new season is making up for that. The viewers, however, are still decreasing, last weeks episode only had 3.98 million viewers, it’s lowest ever. So if we want to have Heroes continue we must all band together and watch!
Horrible writing - I can do better NBC. I need a job.
Last show about Claire and her lesbianism. Give me a break. We dont watch the show to learn how some girl becomes a lesbian. Lets see some powers and intriging story line.

I have a ton of ideas which i know would be good for the show, as a matter of fact i have an entire 24 episode season planned out, i wrote all the episodes and believe me it’s like one giant superhero movie.
But that’s just an idea, i was thinking of returning Heroes to it’s origin, bringing in some new characters, Making suresh go back to his research after discovering a hero with every single ability in the world, something like this could never be axed.
Just because america isn’t giving enough views it doesn’t mean the rest of the world doesn’t enjoy it.
PLEASE put this show out of its misery. From the show that excited me in season one to the show the bores the crap out of me every time I watch it; the show has completely lost its magic. The same storyline every week makes it predictable and annoying.
