Leona Lewis Is Scared

Leona Lewis

Following the attack at her book signing, Leona Lewis is taking more precautions for her safety.   This Monday (October 19) she finally left her home, but things weren’t so rosy the entire time.  Lewis’ handlers became concerned when they thought she was being followed.

She was being followed by about a dozen photographers and things were getting scary.
“She dived into the nearest police station, waited there for a while as things calmed down, then was able to continue on her way.”

A police spokesman confirmed: “We were alerted at 2.30pm to a potentially dangerous situation outside the garage. Officers attended and escorted a 24-year-old woman to a place of safety.”

How terrible! First she’s hit in the face by the guy at her book signing, and then she is hounded by the paparazzi. No wonder her handlers are a little jumpy.

Emily Blunt Wants A Fat Movie Role

emily-blunt

Emily Blunt, who recently announced her engagement to The Office’s John Krasinski , is tired of playing the skinny girls. What she really wants is a role where she can pork up!

I would like to play a role where I get to put on a lot of weight — I would like to eat Carbonara for three months straight,”

“John would have to suck it up… he’ll have to deal with it.”

This from the girl who made her line in the Devil Wears Prada “I’m just one stomach flu away from my goal weight” an instant quotable.

I’m sure after years of being thin for roles, and still being asked to change your looks can wear on you. I would guess that would be my fantasy role as well. Just as long as there was a trainer and a personal chef waiting for me on the other side of filming.

‘Captain America’ Script Praised by Joe Quesada

captain_americascript

The First Avenger: Captain America is coming together, most importantly the script is nearing completion. It’s getting rave reviews from Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Joe Quesada. Here’s what he said about it:

“I’ve seen a couple of outlines and an initial screenplay, and it’s going to rock everyone’s socks off,” Quesada said. “It’s very unexpected, the kind of movie it is.” He added that “Captain America” sets up The Avengers in “a fantastic way” and also mentioned that there is an undisclosed wish list of actors to play the superhero.

Paramount and Marvel Studios are planning a July 22, 2011 release date for the Joe Johnston-directed “Captain America,” which will be followed by The Avengers on May 4, 2012.

Good to hear there is quality to this script, this is one of those movies that would be really easy to screw up given the general campy-ness of the character in general. It will be really interesting to see how this turns out.

New ‘Wolfman’ Trailer Much Better

wolfman

Here’s the newest trailer for the upcoming horror remake The Wolfman starring Benicio Del toro.

I wasn’t all that impressed with the previous trailer for this film, this one makes it look a lot better. I still don’t feel like this movie is pulling off anything new or exciting, but I love the cast. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Nickelodeon Buys ‘Ninja Turtles’ for $60M, 2012 Movie Release Expected

tmntbadmoon_cover01

Nickelodeon has purchased the rights to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for $60 million! The rumored movie should be out in 2012.

Variety reports the deal, which puts all intellectual property rights and all merchandising rights to the characters into the hands of Nickelodeon. The current animated series, produced by Mirage and 4Kids, will air through the end of October.

The new film has been called a Batman Begins-style reboot which would re-tell the origin of the characters. Co-creator Peter Laird has suggested it might even include the two-legged robot ‘mousers’ which appeared in early issues of the black and white comic series. But acasting call announcement earlier this year, which was obviously premature, sought martial artists to appear as the Foot Clan, which suggests that the film will re-tell the Shredder / April / Foot Clan story seen in altered form in the original 1990 live-action movie.

I’m not one of those die-hard fans of the Turtles, but it’s certainly a fond memory from childhood. It’s amazing that these characters can sell for an amount like $60 million, but I guess if Nickelodeon can make a movie that’s good enough they can easily make that money back.

Disney Plans for Future With ‘Keychest’ Multi-Platform Releases

disneykeychest

Disney is planning for the future technology wise, planning to release future projects in multiple platform format with a little something called ‘Keychest’.

A Disney initiative that could allow consumers access to a movie on any device imaginable comes not to bury the DVD, but perhaps to prolong its relevancy.

Disney could demonstrate the new technology, code-named Keychest, in as little as two months, and it could be available to consumers next year, a studio insider said Wednesday. Using cloud-computing concepts that could be coupled with physical product, consumers would pay one price for rights to a movie they could play on multiple devices, even simultaneously, if desired.

“Dad has a Zune, Mom has an iPod, there’s a Mac and a PC at home and a Roku box; right now, those devices don’t talk to one another,” the insider said. “We intend to blend those worlds.”

Smart thinking on the part of Disney, technology is moving forward fast. It’s tedious trying to transfer and recode media so it will work on different systems, it will be nice for a cross platform system to be in place for ease of use.

Rainy New ‘The Road’ Poster With Viggo Mortensen

road_movie_poster_01

Here’s the newest poster for the upcoming post-apocalyptic film The Road starring Viggo Mortensen.

Based on Cormac McCarthy’s best-selling and Pulitzer Prize winning novel, “The Road” is the epic post-apocalyptic tale of a journey taken by a father and his young son across a barren landscape that was blasted by an unnamed cataclysm that destroyed civilization and most life on earth.

This poster isn’t exactly the most informative or interesting. This movie does look like it could be pretty good though.

Big Brother 11 – Jeff & Jordan Are Officially TOGETHER! (Photos)

Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd The CBS Fall Preview Party

Yay!  I have been waiting for this confirmation since the finale of Big Brother 11!  Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd are an official couple!  I knew that those two were meant for each from day one!

So when asked if they are an item Jordan was happy to report,

“Yes we are! We never really talked about it. It just kind of happened.”

Jeff knew he liked Jordan already but those feeling have definitely blossomed outside the Big Brother house,

“I liked her on the show, that was obvious, but after the show ended I liked her even more. I get in trouble when I say that, because Jordan is like, ‘You didn’t like me on the show, and now you like me!?’ but what I mean is that I like her even more now that I see who she is outside of the BB house.”

“I thought that the biggest hurdle in a relationship was taking a dump in front of each other,” Jeff says with a laugh. “We cleared that in the BB house. As far as the relationship goes we have a leg up. We’ve fast forwarded a year!”

It also looks like Jeff finally got to have some “booger” with Jordan,

“I think he’s waited long enough.”

Awwww, that is SO cute!  I love them.  I hope that they get married, have lots of “booger” that results in lots of mini Jordan and Jeffs!  Congrats to the happy couple!

Dancing With The Stars – Results Show Week 4 – Michael Jackson Tribute (Video)

Natalie Coughlin final performance DWTS

Last night Dancing With The Stars sent Natalie Coughlin home from the competition.  She was so sad, I felt bad for her!   Somehow Michael Irvin is still staying in the running.  America seems to love that guy!

But, the highlight of the night was the amazing tribute to Michael Jackson.  All of the contestants gave it their best to honor the late King of Pop.

Enjoy the video below,

Wasn’t that cool?  I really enjoyed it and I am glad they came up with it.  Very classy.
