Madonna Getting Back With Guy?

guy-ritchie-madonna-rocknrolla-premiere

I don’t know. This sounds like a bad idea. It’s already been said that Madonna regrets leaving her now ex-husband Guy Ritchie, but are they really getting back together?  Word is that now that they have spent time apart, the two are both having second thoughts on their relationship.

“The pair of them have huge egos so, rather than speaking directly to one another, they are using friends to relay information,” a source told The People. “The truth is both Guy and Madonna are becoming more and more open in their admissions that in many ways they regret getting divorced.

“It’s one of those rare situations where couples start to get on better once their marriage is over.

“Both of them are brilliant with the kids and have fond memories of their family life together.

“It’s almost as though they have forgotten about all the rows they had as their marriage headed for the rocks.”

Two giant egos in the same house never works. It’s hard enough when there is one person who thinks they are the reason the sun rises, but two of them? And why is it that people forget the fights and other reasons they broke up to begin with? Not that you want to dwell on the bad, but wouldn’t you remember that?

Nicolas Cage Sues Financial Manager

nicolas-cage

What do you do when the IRS comes knocking looking for some money? Well, if you’re Nicolas Cage you sue your former financial manager. The IRS wants Cage to pay $6.26 million claiming that he failed to pay income taxes back in 2007. Cage is claiming that his current financial issues are the fault of his former finance manager, Samuel Levin.

The legal documents state, “Levin placed Cage in numerous highly speculative and risky real estate investments, resulting in Cage suffering catastrophic losses”.

The 45-year-old explains he fired Levin earlier this year (09) after learning “the gravity of his financial condition”, adding he hid the actor’s “true financial condition prior to investments and assets being acquired by (Cage)”.

Cage has already taken steps to regain some financial solvency. Earlier this year, he sold one of his castles, and other real estate.

Spice Girls The Musical!

spice-girls

Who wants more Spice Girls in their life? I know I do. I can’t get enough. Following their 2007 reunion tour, there has been a buzz on what the five ladies would be up to next.  Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) started tongues wagging recently when she said that they were working on a new project, but she would not give anymore details than that.

Now we know. Get ready for a Spice Girl musical!

“The project is Geri (Halliwell)’s baby, really, but all the girls are backing it. The idea is for five relatively unknown actresses to take the parts and hopefully the girls will each have a say in who is cast”.

The Spice Girls consist of Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice). The play will follow all five of the women on their road to becoming the mega group in the 90s.

Will you be watching a Spice Girls musical? Or did you have enough of them a decade ago?

Jackie Earle Haley to Play ‘Green Lantern’ Baddie?

jackieearle_haley-thumb-300x400-15792sinestro

Rumor has it that Jackie Earle Haley is likely to star as the bad guy Sinestro in the upcoming Green Lantern movie.

On the plus side, a new rumour has pegged Jackie EarleHaley for the role of Sinestro in the picture. You may recall that he’s the mentor character that might just turn out to be a baddie (if they don’t save that for the sequel). The same unnamed gossipmonger has Superman down for a cameo role in the film, which sounds like a wild and unlikely idea but the character was in at least one draft of the script and since Marvel’s multi-picture mashup scheme, I wouldn’t be surprised to see DC try a similar tactic.

Haley is a fantastic actor and he’s proven it over and over, slowly growing into a mainstream star. He’d be a great choice for Sinestro, hopefully he takes the offer if he does get it.

Full ‘Avatar’ Trailer Coming to Theaters on Oct. 23rd

avatar_concept_art_31

The full 3 minute and 30 second trailer for the much anticipated film from director James Cameron Avatar will hit theaters on October 23th, 2009.

ComingSoon.net has confirmed that 20th Century Fox will debut a new trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar in theaters this Friday, October 23rd! The trailer, which clocks in at roughly around 3 minutes and 30 seconds, won’t be coming online until October 29th. You should really see this in theaters anyways as we’ve learned that this is THE trailer, the one that will show you much more story (as opposed to the teaser trailer previously released).

It’s almost strange that the full trailer for this movie is coming out this late, considering the movie is in theaters in 2 months. Hope it can manage to live up to the hype, Cameron is great at sci-fi.

New ‘Imaginarium’ Poster Quite Surreal

imaginarium_of_doctor_parnassus_ver12

Here’s the latest poster for the upcoming film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassis.

This is a very strange poster, it doesn’t even seem to fit with the movie or the previous versions of the poster. This movie is not to be missed in any case with such a killer cast.

Wes Craven’s New Film Isn’t ’24/8′ It’s ‘My Soul to Take’

wescraven

Wes Craven has been working on a new scary movie for the masses, for a while it was called 24/8. The film now has an official title, My Soul to Take.

When Wes Craven’s latest fright flick arrives in theaters in 2010, it won’t be called 25/8, a moniker it has held since the director began production. Instead, it is now entitled “My Soul to Take.”

Craven broke the news via his Twitter account this morning. ShockTillYouDrop.com says that while the title was once apropos for the film, the term “25/8″ is no longer used in the story so it wouldn’t really make sense to call it that. Craven adds “25/8″ has always been a working title.

Max Thierot, Denzel Whitaker and Shareeka Epps star in what is Craven’s first film that he has written and directed since New Nightmare in the ’90s. Thierot plays “Bug,” a young man who is possibly being terrorized by his serial killer father sixteen years after his supposed death.

I don’t quite understand why Craven has been hiding away for all these years, hopefully he still has that spark to make this movie scary.

Mel Gibson Returns with Vengeance in ‘Edge of Darkness’ Trailer

edgeofdarkness

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming film Edge of Darkness starring Mel Gibson.

This is Gibson’s big return to acting and it looks like it may be a great pic. He’s certainly looking more aged than the last time we saw him in a movie. Hope it turns out well.

‘Paranormal Activity’: How Spielberg Made it Happen

paranormal-activity-poster110_20_steven_spielberg_

The raved about new horror film Paranormal Activity would probably never have made it into the main stream had Steven Spielberg not experience a little haunting of his own after watching the film.

It was early 2008, and the director’s DreamWorks studio was trying to decide whether it wanted to be a part of the micro-budgeted supernatural thriller. As the story goes, Spielberg had taken a “Paranormal Activity” DVD to his Pacific Palisades estate, and not long after he watched it, the door to his empty bedroom inexplicably locked from the inside, forcing him to summon a locksmith.

While Spielberg didn’t want the “Paranormal Activity” disc anywhere near his home — he brought the movie back to DreamWorks in a garbage bag, colleagues say — he very much shared his studio’s enthusiasm for director Oren Peli’s haunting story about the demonic invasion of a couple’s suburban tract house.

I love that he returned the movie in a garbage bag, as if touching it would bring demons to bother him. It’s a pretty freaky little film, if you haven’t seen it yet and want to be too scared to go to sleep, go check it out. Few films achieve this level of spooky-ness these days.
