Zach Galifianakis is certainly not having a shortage of work since his role in the hit movie The Hangover. He’s likely to play Humpty Dumpty in the new Shrek spin-off, Puss in Boots.

Following his big splash with summer’s $461 million grosser “The Hangover,” Galifianakis has scooped up a batch of film roles. Now, he’s entered negotiations to voice the Humpty Dumpty character in “Shrek” spinoff “Puss in Boots.”

“Puss” is set to unspool in Nov. 4, 2011. The character Puss in Boots also co-stars in DWA’s fourth installment of “Shrek,” May 21 opener “Shrek Forever After.”

This is going to be a funny one, especially if they keep adding on talents like Galifianakis. I can’t help but feel like they are milking this franchise a little too much, the first two Shrek movies were great, but the third lacked that same charm. Perhaps they can get it back with the next two films.
