Adam Lambert – For Your Entertainment, Um… It SUCKS
There was way too much hype going into the release of Adam Lambert’s debut album, For Your Entertainment. Oh wait, everything that Adam Lambert does gets WAY TOO MUCH hype. As if all that normal hype wasn’t enough, he had to go and make us all ill with that nasty AMA performance.

This album is honestly just terrible. There are a couple of songs that seem to have a little bit of a different sound to them. But, for the most part all you get is more of what we’ve already seen/heard from Adam. A lot of shrieking, over the top crap. It’s all the guy has got. When Adam first got going on Idol I thought he was talented, I thought his pipes were pretty sharp. That was until I watched him turn each song every week into the same sound. What is that? I call it crap. When he sang Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire, I almost died. It actually pissed me off! You can’t do THAT to Cash’s music. It’s just wrong.
Adam Lambert doesn’t have anything more to offer than what we’ve already heard him do, repeatedly. I am guessing that is why he had to distract us all from the actual music the other night. We were all to busy being shocked by what we saw, we couldn’t hear anything! Then when I watched it back for the second time without looking at the screen, my ears started bleeding from all the pitchy shrieks. But of course Adam blames that on the sound, just like he did on Idol.
Naturally all of Adam Lambert’s followers/fans will stick by him, worship the ground he walks on, not for his “talent” but for his status as a gay role model (and that is FINE), but he’s got Perez Hilton as his number one supporter. I don’t know about you, but Perez is the last person I would want “promoting” me. There’s a good reason Kris Allen won American Idol and NOT Adam Lambert. One has solid talent, the latter does NOT. I don’t understand why that is such a tough concept for some of you to accept?
Bottom line is this. Adam Lambert has very limited talent. That’s why he has to be so obnoxious in every other department. If you like being distracted from a musician’s tunes, than he’s your guy. I personally like enjoying the music I am listening to.

I disagree. Have you heard “Time For Miracles”? I love how people will say he’s “shrieking”. He’s not shrieking, he’s just able to hit those REALLY high notes. He’s singing.
I love Adam, I think he is so talented, and really enjoyed seeing him on tour this summer but I’m getting sick of everything he is doing lately. He LOVES attention and I am getting sick of it. I was disappointed in his AMA performance and I’m getting sick of fans/supporters keep supporting him. Sure, there are “double standards”, but I’ve never seen a performer at all stick a person’s head into their crotch. I get he’s trying to push boundaries, but he also JUST came off of “Idol”. He should be a little respectful to all the young people who got him to the place he is now! I think his debut album is good. Not amazing, but good… and the album cover, is ridiculous.
I think Adam is an extremely talented artist that doesn’t know how best to use his talent. I didn’t know what I was expecting from his new album, but it certainly wasn’t the pop-glam-attack of the homosexuals music that I got out of it. He’s gay, I’m fine with that. I don’t want to see him flaunting it constantly though, and with the performances he has given it seems like he has an agenda to make gays more prevalent in the industry. I also have no problem with that, but what I do have a problem with is how he’s going about achieving that goal.
But whatever, it’s my choice whether to listen to his music, and until his next album comes out I definitely won’t be doing that.
I think Adam should fire whoever is writing his music and songs. I am/was a big Adam fan and I bought the album as soon as it came out. I was very quickly extremely disappointed with it. It sounded like a bad 80′s glam rock album. tehre was nothign current about it. Maybe that’s the thing. maybe Adam shouls stick with doing cover songs in his own way. Writing music is not his forte. Sorry Adam, but unless i hear some good songs, I will not be purchasing another album. This one is collecting dust and I find myself downloading past Idol preformances on my Ipod for my Adam fix. Terrible, terrible album!
