American Idol Season 9 is just around the corner.  We are still digesting all that Thanksgiving turkey and it’s time to put up our trees.  Following the celebration of a new year, American Idol will be back in our living rooms twice a week.

This season will be very different.  Why?  Well, mostly due to the fact that Paula Abdul won’t be battling Simon Cowell on a nightly basis.  No, there will be a whole new dynamic while Ellen Degeneres takes over Paula’s old seat.  I think it’s going to be good though.

American Idol season 9 will premiere over a two night special.  January 12 at 8PM will be a 2 hour show, then on January 13 at 8PM there will be a one hour show.
