New ‘The Road’ Poster Exclaims it’s Greatness

The Road Poster

Here’s the newest poster for the upcoming film The Road.

I really hope it’s as good as the poster claims. With actors like these and a story from an author like this I’m automatically intrigued, so hopefully it’s not a disappointment.

Cool New ‘Salt’ Poster with Angelina Jolie

Salt Poster

Here’s the latest poster for the upcoming Angelina Jolie film Salt.

She always looks good, and she makes this movie appealing. I’ll remind you that movie was originally supposed to star Tom Cruise as Salt, but a great decision was made and the character was turned into a female for Angelina. Ok, now imagine this poster with Tom Cruise… yeah, I think they made the right decision.

Teaser Trailer for ‘Beastly’ Lands With a Thud

Beastly Image

Here’s the brand new teaser trailer for the upcoming film Beastly.

Not much to be seen here, and it really looks like an episode of a TV show, I guess thats because it’s from CBS Films. Unfortunately teaser doesn’t even intrigue me a little bit, maybe with the full trailer, but I doubt it.

Lively New ‘Nine’ Trailer Gives Just a Taste

Nine Poster

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming musical Nine.

This movie looks like it’s going to be a true spectacle. The cast is rich and the music is quite obviously very lively. Now, I’m not into musicals in general but I really liked Chicago a few years ago and this looks like it could be on the same level. With Rob Marshall at the helm and the amazing cast in place I’m sure it’ll be worth a watch.

Kat Dennings Joins the Cast of ‘Thor’

Kat Dennings

Kat Dennings is the newest addition to the cast of the upcoming comic book film Thor.

Natalie Portman revealed to MTV this weekend that Kat Dennings (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist) will have a role in director Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. She didn’t reveal what role Dennings will be playing, however.

Dennings is joining a cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Jaimie Alexander, Colm Feore, Samuel L. Jackson, Stellan Skarsgard, Stuart Townsend, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano and Idris Elba. The Marvel Studios adaptation will be released in theaters by Paramount Pictures on May 20, 2011.

The cast and director give me a lot of hope for this film, although when it was announced I was expecting junk. Every person they’ve added to the cast so far has made me happy. Hope the script is good!

‘The Howling’ Remake Officially On its Way

The Howling Poster (1981)

The Howling is officially being remade and it’s supposed to be out by next Halloween!

“The Howling” is coming back.Indie producers Joel Kastelberg and Moonstone Entertainment’s Etchie Stroh are re-launching the werewolf franchise as “The Howling: Reborn.”

Former studio marketing exec Joe Nimziki, who worked at New Line, MGM and Sony, will make his feature directorial debut from his own script.

Pic’s due to start shooting in February for a Halloween release, with plot details under wraps.

The original “Howling,” directed by Joe Dante from a script by John Sayles, was released in 1981 and spawned six sequels. Dee Wallace-Stone starred as a news anchor stalked by a serial killer who turns out to be a werewolf.

The film is on a fast track to release, to me that indicates that it’s more about the money than the quality. Hopefully it will have the quality somewhat close to the classic original. In either case, horror fans are bound to be excited.

Mel Gibson’s Denial of ‘Mad Max 4′ In His Words

Mel Gibson

Here’s what Mel Gibson said about the possibility of retaking the role of Mad Max in the upcoming Fury Road.

“Oh gosh, I don’t know what he’s up to. Not with me, I don’t think, man, I’m a bit old and long in the tooth for that number…You need somebody who can get around a bit quicker.”

Read the full interview HERE.

He’s clearly not feeling up to it, and who can blame him, he’s got plenty of other stuff going on anyway. He’s not exactly an action star anymore.

Angels & Demons Blu-rayFour Christmases Blu-ray

Blu-ray is the new standard, DVD is on its way out and every week they are releasing many films on the relatively new format. Here’s the full list of Blu-ray movies out this week on November 23rd and 24th, 2009.

November 23, 2009

November 24, 2009

Highlighting this weeks releases, Angels & Demons is out as well as the comedy Four Christmases. Funny People from director Judd Apatow is out as well. This is sort of a disappointing list considering the fact that Black Friday is this week. You’d think there would be a lot more big stuff out, but I guess there are still a few weeks left before Christmas.
