This past year, we have watched singer Amy Winehouse regain some of the control in her life. She is reportedly dealing with her drug and alcohol problems and is even back in the studio recording her third album.   Amy’s dad, Mitch Winehouse, is calling her turn around “miraculous.”

“She’s doing fantastic and I don’t think enough credit is given to her about what she’s achieved over the last year. It’s been nothing short of miraculous.”

That’s awfully nice of her daddy to say. But then he has to go and make a comment about her new breasts.  Again.

He said: “I think she looks great, every bit of her – including the boobs.”

Oh Mitch, you have to stop saying things like that about your daughter. It’s creepy.

On Sunday (November 15) Kevin White, a former bodyguard for Jay-Z, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Mariah Carey, was shot to death by police. The police were called to a club in Brooklyn after a gun fight broke out over a spilled drink.

According to Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, a plainclothes police officer fired at Kevin White, who was reportedly holding a gun inside the club, after he failed to obey to instructions to drop the weapon.

Surveillance video footage reportedly shows the 43-year-old bouncer and celebrity security guard shooting at police prior to the fatal blow.

Even with Kevin White allegedly on tape firing at police, members of his family are insisting that he must have wrestled it away from someone else during the fight.

White’s sibling, Louis, argues, “My brother would never carry a gun”.

How tragic that a man would die over a spilled drink in a club!

Beyonce Knowles was spotted leaving Rihanna’s Nokia gig afterparty at Mahiki nightclub in London last night.  This Video Phone diva did it again, wearing that sexy off the shoulder look.  I love this outfit even better than the last one.  It’s no wonder Beyonce is repeating her style, it’s HOT! Well done, Beyonce.

Adam Lambert got a new honor this week. Out Magazine awarded him the Out 100 Breakout Honoree crown.  Out did a lengthy interview with the American Idol runner up and the Editor in Chief, Aaron Hicklin wrote an open letter to Adam (after the jump), sort of ‘outing’ him on another level.

Here are highlights from the interview:

Out: Let’s start off by talking about Lady Gaga.
Adam Lambert: I saw those pictures in Out, the Halloween pictures. They were incredible! I’m so refreshed by her. I think she’s finally taking risks. Like where are those people? You know what I mean? I’m inspired by it. I’m like, “Yeah, f**k yeah. Let’s take risks.”

We all wanted those rumors that you would take Kanye’s place on that tour to be true.
[Laughs.] Not true. It would be really fun.

Would it be the gayest tour ever?
It would probably be. The audience would be amazing, probably, at that tour. It’s really funny to me because a lot of my core fans — people that went to the Idol concerts, and I glance at the messages boards once in a while — there is a surprising amount of them that don’t like her.

Really?
And I’m like, but — her way of approaching music is not that far off from what I’m trying to do. She’s doing what the club kids are doing and making it like, Top 40.

What has that inspired you to do?
Definitely just to take risks. Sonically, the actual style of her music is, like, club music. It’s not necessarily as avant garde as she’s presenting visually, but that’s what makes it so genius. It’s a song that everybody loves and she’s getting to play dress up and doing whatever the hell she wants. Which, I think, is what it should be. It’s how you interpret it.

Last night on Dancing With the Stars, we got to see Mya dominate once again. Even there even a question as to whether or not she will win the trophy? I mean seriously? I am of course still pulling for Kelly, but Mya has pretty much owned that trophy since her feet hit the dance floor.
