Here’s a good look at the new Freddy Krueger.

Figures.com (via ShockTillYouDrop.com) has posted a full look at the new Freddy Krueger from New Line’s A Nightmare on Elm Street, opening in theaters on April 30, 2010. While this is the upcoming NECA figure and not a real photo from the film, it gives you an idea of what’s to come.

He certainly looks a lot more like a serious burn victim than the original version did, certainly more freaky looking. Jackie Earle Haley is going to give this character a whole new level of intimidation.

Here’s the first image from the upcoming sequel Shrek Forever After, the fourth and final installment in the series.

The once-upon-a-time spoofing that began with 2001′s Shrek will conclude when Shrek Forever After, the fourth computer-animated comic adventure starring the hygiene-challenged ogre — and the first in 3-D — arrives May 21. A trailer premieres Dec. 18 at showings of Avatar.

“All that was loved about Shrek in the first film is brought to the final film,” promises Bill Damaschke, head of creative production atDreamWorks. Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz are back as the voices of Shrek, sidekick Donkey and ogress wife Fiona.

This movie will obviously be a lot of fun, but I hope it’s better than Shrek the Third. The first two had a certain magic about them that the third one just didn’t pull off. In any case I want to see it.

Here’s the latest poster for the upcoming film The Book of Eli starring Denzel Washington.

Not the most inventive or informative poster, but I’m not expecting the movie to be all that inventive either. I will watch it based on the cast, but that’s about the only thing drawing me to this one.

There was way too much hype going into the release of Adam Lambert’s debut album, For Your Entertainment.  Oh wait, everything that Adam Lambert does gets WAY TOO MUCH hype.  As if all that normal hype wasn’t enough, he had to go and make us all ill with that nasty AMA performance.

This album is honestly just terrible.  There are a couple of songs that seem to have a little bit of a different sound to them.  But, for the most part all you get is more of what we’ve already seen/heard from Adam.  A lot of shrieking, over the top crap.  It’s all the guy has got.  When Adam first got going on Idol I thought he was talented, I thought his pipes were pretty sharp.  That was until I watched him turn each song every week into the same sound.  What is that?  I call it crap.  When he sang Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire, I almost died.  It actually pissed me off!  You can’t do THAT to Cash’s music.  It’s just wrong.

Adam Lambert doesn’t have anything more to offer than what we’ve already heard him do, repeatedly.  I am guessing that is why he had to distract us all from the actual music the other night.  We were all to busy being shocked by what we saw, we couldn’t hear anything!  Then when I watched it back for the second time without looking at the screen, my ears started bleeding from all the pitchy shrieks.  But of course Adam blames that on the sound, just like he did on Idol.

Naturally all of Adam Lambert’s followers/fans will stick by him, worship the ground he walks on, not for his “talent” but for his status as a gay role model (and that is FINE), but he’s got Perez Hilton as his number one supporter.  I don’t know about you, but Perez is the last person I would want “promoting” me.  There’s a good reason Kris Allen won American Idol and NOT Adam Lambert.  One has solid talent, the latter does NOT.  I don’t understand why that is such a tough concept for some of you to accept?

Bottom line is this.  Adam Lambert has very limited talent.  That’s why he has to be so obnoxious in every other department.  If you like being distracted from a musician’s tunes, than he’s your guy.  I personally like enjoying the music I am listening to.

Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp are going to be in a shower sex scene together in the upcoming film The Tourist.

The script draft reads, “The outline of her naked body is visible in the shower. Frank walks to the shower and opens the glass door. Walking in, he lifts Cara against the glass, clutching at her slithery body, kissing her frantically. She kisses him back with ardour, wrapping her dripping legs around his back.”

The script continues, “Cara turns abruptly to Frank and presses her body against his. He’s taken by surprise but willingly responds to her advance, wrapping his arms around her back. They exchange a long, passionate kiss.”

Wow, talk about a selling point for the movie. Two of the world’s biggest sex symbols in one shower naked? This movie will be a hit based almost solely on that, as they say, sex sells. I wonder how these stars significant others will feel about it.

Neve Campbell essentially confirmed during an interview that Wes Craven is returning to direct Scream 4.

Talking to Black Book Mag, Campbell said “I’m pretty sure at this stage that Wes [Craven] is back on board to direct and Kevin [Willamson] is definitely writing it…so it is going to be great.”

Though that’s not a definite yes, I’m sure he’s onboard. It’s not like he’s too busy making some other major sequel. Scream is what many people know Wes Craven for, so it only makes sense.

Oprah likes to really ‘turn it on’ when she has ‘exciting’ guests on her show.  She’s been doing it for 25 years now and she hasn’t lost any of that ‘energy’ as the years have passed.  Nope, Oprah is a screamer and will always be a screamer.

Princess of Mars is a new corny B-movie that is claiming to be the inspiration for James Cameron‘s Avatar. Check out this trailer.

Clearly this is just a desperate attempt to get people to go see this movie. From the trailer it looks like there are only two scenes in the whole thing. Antonio Sabato Jr. and Traci Lords!? Hilarious.

At my house, we like to kick off Christmas season on Thanksgiving.  After we are all stuffed beyond belief, we put up the tree and deck it out.  Then the following couple of days we spend decorating the rest of the house inside and out.  I love it!  So, what does this mean?  It’s time to bust out the Christmas tunes!
