American Idol – ‘Fantasia For Real’ – Reality Show
As if we didn’t have enough reality TV to digest on a daily basis, VH1 is adding to our fatty diet. American Idol, Fantasia Barrino is kicking off her own reality show on January 11. Fantasia For Real will be our look inside the real life of gifted singer.
The execs over at VH1 are pretty pumped about this show,
“Fantasia has engaged millions of fans not only through her music and her amazing talent but also by her incredible fairytale life story.”
“Our audience helped Fantasia become an American Idol and now, with this series, they get a backstage pass into her real life as she confronts obstacles to realize her true potential as an artist, a mother, a daughter and a sister.”
That’s nice and all. But, come on… really? Who really wants to watch this? Thankfully it’s only eight episodes. Now if this was Carrie Underwood, then we’d be talking. Then there would be great ratings….

Seriously, if this were Carrie Undewood we would not be talking. We would be sound asleep. In order to carry a show with your name on it you must have a personality and the relatable factor.The singing mannequin would not cut it. Fantasia’s show will be good.She’s funny, likable and has a very outgoing personality. I’m looking forward to it!!
