This past weekend (Dec 18 – Dec 20) dawned the release of the much anticipated James Cameron film Avatar and it’s the clear winner. The film made a record $77.3 million, the most of any movie ever that is not sequel, a remake nor a direct adaptation. Not to mention the biggest December opening ever, beating I Am Legend by only $100,000. The only other new movie on the top ten list is Did You Hear About the Morgans? making a mild $7 million landing it in the #4 spot under The Princess and the Frog and The Blind Side.

Somebody’s going to have to clean that up. This poster seems more like a teaser poster than a final version, I think a pitchfork has been used in a horror film before. Pardon my sarcasm.

Marvin the Martian is going to get his very own movie. Only the world around him will be live action, he’ll be animated, much like the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies.

The Looney Tunes character is getting his own movie — and now that movie has a director and writers, and could soon even have a star to lend Marvin his voice.

Warner Bros. and producer Alcon Entertainment (the company behind the fall sensation “The Blind Side”) are bringing aboard a director named Alex Zamm to oversee the misadventures of the cartoon alien.

The plot for “Marvin” will remain what it was when it was first announced in the summer of 2008: Marvin comes to Earth to try to destroy Christmas, but his plans are foiled when he gets trapped inside a gift box.

Filmmakers are aiming to get going on some of the visual work in 2010, with the idea to bring out the movie during the holiday season of 2011.

Marvin will be a CG creation, surrounded by live-action actors in the manner of “Alvin & The Chipmunks,” which this Christmas will again show why studios are going animal-crazy for this kind of hybrid.

I’ve always love Marvin the Martian, I hope they manage to revive the character in his original form and don’t try anything too crazy. Alvin and the Chipmunks have been ruined forever from the current junky movies, I hope this isn’t another classic character destroyed for the sake of the studio dollar.

Kim gets down and dirty with a really yummy salad all over her bed.  Ha! Kind of ridiculous, but hey…sex sells and Carl’s Jr. will be the first to tell you that!

Oh my word.  We have seen Lindsay Lohan in her Muse photo shoot and all the ‘dirty’ she brought to the bedroom there.  (See NSFW video here.)  Now we get the eye-popping fishnet bodysuit spread.  Yikes.  I am just a little shocked by these ones.  I guess that I am still trying to picture Lindsay Lohan in her clean, young, innocent days.  Ahhh, I give up.  These nasty photos did it for me.  I am over it.  Lindsay Lohan is no little girl.

Ivana Trump is divorcing her young, fourth husband, Tossano Rubicondi. Apparently they didn’t realize that they both had busy careers when they tied the knot last year and so now they have to get a divorce.

Oddly enough, Ivana has kept her Trump name since she got it in 1977…. I wonder why??  I am surprised that Donald Trump didn’t sue her for it back, or perhaps buy his name back from her…. ha!
