The Biggest Loser – Amanda Arlauskas Has The Men Lining Up!

Amanda - The Biggest Loser

The Biggest Loser didn’t crown Amanda Arlauskas as the winner of the show, but she is a winner in her real life.  The show gave her a new life!  She lost 80 lbs on the show!

In Touch got to sit down with Amanda and find out how she plans to keep all that weight off and how the show has changed her entire life!

Do you find you act differently in social situations now?
In the past, I was kind of the girl who stayed to the side, never wanting to be the center of attention. Now I walk into a room and I’m glowing and happy, and I want to be the center of attention. I’m confident, and I don’t feel like I have to hide anymore. I’m not shy for people to see my new body and how hard I’ve worked.

Do you notice people treating you differently?
I get a lot of male attention now, and it’s a lot for me to take because I never really had that before! I was always told, “You have such a pretty face,” but I knew my body was always keeping me back from anything really happening. Now I have a lot of guys trying to talk to me and get in touch with me, and it’s flattering — but I’m definitely not used to it!

Do you have any tips on staying motivated?
My biggest motivation is looking at before pictures and thinking about how sad I was. I worked so hard, and I can’t imagine going back. I just felt like a horrible person when I was overweight because that wasn’t who I was inside. I was tied to this ball and chain because I was overweight. Right now, I feel the best I’ve ever felt.

What was the hardest part of being on the show?
Exposing your life to millions of people and allowing cameras to film you 24 hours a day, getting on a scale in almost no clothes and letting people see that dreaded number on the scale. But then the next day, they can catch you at your best moment. That was the ultimate reward!

Sex and the City 2 Movie Poster

There isn’t a whole lot to say about this huge disappointment.  The first Sex and the City 2 movie poster featuring Sarah Jessica Parker has been released and it’s a total letdown.  What on earth were they thinking?  I want to talk to somebody in charge!

Carrie Bradshaw would NEVER approve of this poster, not in a million years.  I really hope that they come out with some new posters and fast… maybe they can make us forget that this one ever existed!

NOTHING about it is right!

Okay, go ahead.  Tell me something good about this poster, if you can!

Brad Pitt’s New Movie ‘Vlad’ Isn’t About Vampires After All

Brad PittVlad the Impaler Illustration

A few days ago it was announced that Brad Pitt would be working on a new Dracula remake called Vlad. Turns out it’s more of a historical piece, not a Dracula remake at all!

Turns out that the project isn’t quite what anyone expected. Yes, it’s based on the life of Vlad the Impaler, and yes, it’s intended to be a big, sweeping film with a lot of action. (’In the style of 300‘ keeps being used as a reference.)

But the film is about Vlad the man, rather than an adaptation of Dracula, and won’t touch on vampirism at all.

So says writer, Undeclared and Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam, to EW, as he describes his take.

“As the script stands now, we don’t touch on vampirism. That was my one non-negotiable area when we were developing it, and thankfully, nobody suggested that we should delve into it at the end. But you can clearly see the things that Bram Stoker took…. Vlad was such a brutal man, and the trick is to make him sympathetic”

Also, Brad Pitt isn’t starring in the film as of yet. He’s definitely producing it thought. This sounds like it would be a lot more interesting with the vampirism concept included. Especially with the popularity of vampires nowadays.

Brooke Shields “The Old Me Felt Creepy”

Brooke Shileds Good Housekeeping Jan 2010

Good Housekeeping Magazine is celebrating 125 years in the January 2010 issue and they are gracing the cover with one of their favorite cover girls, Brooke Shields. The actress opens up about her career struggles and troubled past: an alcoholic mother, a “toxic” childhood of exploitation and emotional abuse. Find out how she’s coming to terms with it all, and giving her girls the childhood she never had.

Here are few highlights from the interview:

On building her career, from a sexy icon to a respected actress: “The old me felt creepy and I didn’t want to be it anymore…Everybody thought I would suck. I thought, if I get slaughtered, I will cry, it will be horrible, but I’ll have taken another step. And I tried not to think about whether I was talented or not – I still don’t think about whether I have any real talent. What I did know was hard work.”

On her mother, Teri, diagnosed with dementia: “She’s still as needy, toxic, and scarred as she was. [But] now she’s just broken. She’s just sad…The minute I walk in the door, my mother’s usually very judgmental or critical—I’m fat, or my hair’s too dark. And then in the next breath, it’s this crazy, loving, adoring ‘I love you.’ ”

On her ex-husband, tennis star Andre Agassi: “He was the one who said, ‘You need to change it up—get an agent, maybe move to California, be serious…You need to figure out how to separate from your mom.’ ”

On parenting: “I think people let their kids express themselves a little too much these days, actually. It’s all sort of, ‘Let them be!’ There are rules.”

On her husband, television writer Chris Henchy: “He’s extremely patient and ridiculously funny. And he has the ability to approach situations head-on and not let things fester. He gives me an incredible amount of freedom, and yet he knows just where to draw the line.”

For The Love Of Ray J – Danger Gets Locked Up In Psychiatric Ward – Shaves Head! (Photos)

danger

Monica Danger is one of the many skanks that starred in VH1′s For The Love of Ray J.  There was lots of drama then she got knocked up and there were claims that Ray J was the baby daddy, etc. Well, he isn’t and Danger has had some issues since giving birth to her baby.

This month, Danger was taken in on a 5150 psychiatric after an incident involving her newborn daughter.  She had some serious postpartum depression that even led her to shave her head… hello Brit!  This all went down after she fought with the baby daddy.  All of this chaos landed Danger in a psychiatric hospital in Northern California.

Danger’s rep has reported that she’s been released and is doing “fine” adding, “At this time we ask all of Danger’s fans for support and prayer.”

Postpartum depression can be a really serious thing.  I hope that Danger is fully recovered now, for the safety of the baby. That really scares me.  Hang in there girl!
