Here’s a video interview that Peter Jackson did with The Hollywood Reporter where he clears the air about delays and casting rumors.

It’s nice to hear him actually say it, so hopefully we’ll be seeing the first film in late 2011! Only a couple years away! This is obviously going to be one of the biggest things to come out in the next few years. I’ll keep you posted on the happenings.

Hollywood had it’s best year ever domestically, raking in $10 billion! Thats the most money it’s ever made in one year, in history.

Hollywood is crossing a new milestone as domestic revenues top $10 billion for the first time.

Boxoffice analyst Paul Dergarabedian of Hollywood.com projected that 2009 receipts would pass that mark Tuesday.

According to Dergarabedian’s accounting, the boxoffice year starts on Jan. 1, regardless of where in the week that day falls. This year, it happened to be on a Thursday.

And apparently analysts are saying that 2010 will be even better! This goes to show that what they say about the movie business doing better during times of financial crisis it totally true. But hopefully next year will be a better year for everyone financially regardless of box office gains.

Controversial documentary filmmaker Michael Moore is planning a festival of comedy.

Filmmaker Michael Moore started a summer film festival five years ago in his adopted hometown of Traverse City, Mich. Now he’s teaming with Emmy winner Jeff Garlin to organize a midwinter comedic counterpart.

The inaugural Traverse City Comedy Arts Festival will be held Feb. 19-21. It will feature star performers, along with talented up-and-comers. The lineup will be revealed next month.
In addition to stand-up performances by established artists, there will be acts featuring improvisational groups and premieres of comedy movies — plus a show for children.

This seems like an appropriate step for Moore, I think think he should focus more on comedy himself. The things I remember most about his documentaries are the funny parts.

American Idol favorite judge to hate, Simon Cowell is leaving the show after season nine.  This information is coming from his brother, Tony Cowell who broke the news on his podcast,

“Meanwhile, Simon prepares for a new season of Idol — or should I say, his last season of Idol. As I sit here with my family in the sunny Caribbean, a press statement is being prepared, which will confirm what everyone expected: Simon will leave Idol at the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing the American version of X Factor to U.S. TV in 2011.”

BREAKING NEWS! JFK NUDE WOMEN PHOTO SCANDAL!

Wow.  It makes sense.  Simon won’t have time for both and why would he want to be on both sides of competing shows?  FOX is still trying to talk Simon into staying with Idol through the next three seasons, but I don’t think they will be able to do it.  SImon has been working on getting his X-Factor over here for a long time.

For me the bottom line is: No Paula Abdul AND no Simon Cowell = NO American Idol.

My girl, Orianthi was down in Miami yesterday (December 27) performing a tribute to Les Paul during half time at the Miami Dolphins vs Tennessee Titans football game at Land Shark Stadium.  As if she could get any better!  I am constantly amazed by her talent.

This was a new look for Amber Rose!  Last night she and her ‘man’ Kanye West went to the movies to check out Sherlock Holmes in Hollywood.  I have never seen so little of Amber Rose!  She actually knows how to put real clothes on.  Thank you Amber.  I do appreciate it.  It’s a Christmas Miracle!

This is one crazy photo.  Talk about history coming back to haunt… well, somebody.  This is history no one knew about.  At least no one still alive.

TMZ got their hands on this amazing photo that looks like JKF on a boat with a bunch of naked women.  Yes, JFK and naked women on a boat.

There is lots of documentation that President John F. Kennedy that talk about a 2-week, Mediterranean boating trip that JFK went on in August of 1956. JFK’s  brother Ted Kennedy and Senator George Smathers were also on the trip. The three of them had some ‘good times’ with the women on the yacht. JFK’s wife, Jackie was pregnantduring the boat trip and was rushed to the hospital while JFK was on the boat with the ladies. The doctors had to do an emergency C-section, but the infant was stillborn.  So sad.  And tho think of what her husband was doing while she was going through this!

This is a whole new kind of scandal. Wow.  All the pros are saying that this is an authentic picture.  It’s just a wee bit shocking.  Do you think that JFK would have won the election back then if this picture had surfaced?

The movie was directed by Kenny Ortega, but the King of Pop’s Music video for the song This is It was directed by none other than legendary filmmaker Spike Lee. Here it is.

Very sad, but a nice farewell to Michael Jackson from Spike Lee.
