This movie looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, an interesting concept of the future. Looks pretty sharp, and the actors are right on the money.

Sam Worthington or Ryan Reynolds Will Play ‘Flash Gordon’

Ryan Reynolds Sam Worthington Flash Gordon

Apparently either Sam Worthington or Ryan Reynolds will play Flash Gordon in the upcoming film.

Sources say Sam is up against the sexy Ryan Reynolds for the leading role in the sci-fi flick. “If he gets the role it would be quite a big deal as Flash is an all-American hero,” dished one Hollywood insider. “Right now it’s between Sam, Ryan Reynolds and one or two others for the lead role should the project actually get off the ground.”

The role calls for Flash as a handsome polo player and Yale graduate, who travels to the planet Mongo, where it’s discovered that the meteors are weapons devised by Ming the Merciless, evil ruler of Mongo.

I like both actors, but I just saw Avatar and my vote goes to Sam Worthington, what do you think?

Keira Knightley and ‘Basterds’ Christoph Waltz Join Cronenberg’s ‘Talking Cure’

Keira KnightleyChristoph Waltz

Keira Knightley, Christoph Waltz and Michael Fassbender have signed on to star in David Cronenberg‘s new thriller The Talking Cure.

Keira Knightley, Michael Fassbender and Christoph Waltz have apparently joined David Cronenberg’s long-gestating thriller “The Talking Cure” for Hanway Films.

The story revolves around famed psychoanalyst Carl Jung’s relationship with a young Russian girl driven mad by her past and who became his first patient, and Jung’s esteemed mentor and father of modern psychology Sigmund Freud.

Love Cronenberg‘s work and Christoph Waltz blew me away in Inglourious Basterds so I’m really looking forward to hearing more about this project. Carl Jung came up with some incredibly deep concepts of archetypes.

50 Cent and guns!? No way! How original. Oh I’m sorry does that sound sarcastic? Poor Val Kilmer, what happened?

‘The Karate Kid’ Trailer Quite Watchable

The Karate Kid

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming remake The Karate Kid starring Jackie Chan.

I’m surprised by how watchable this movie looks! I do love Jackie Chan so I doubt I’d have any interest if it weren’t him.

Painfully Lame ‘Furry Vengeance’ Trailer

Furry Vengeance Title

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming comedy film Furry Vengeance starring Brendan Fraser.

This movie looks painfully bad, obviously aimed at the kids. Kids films can still be entertaining for adults as well if they are done right, but this is not one of those films.

Notable tidbits:

Christopher Nolan is the only director to have four films on the above list, making him the director of the decade according to IMDb voters.

Peter Jackson has three films in the top 25, the Lord of the Rings trilogy
Only the two most recent Pixar releases of the seven released in the decade place in the top 25 films of the decade.

Only Three sequels made the list: The Return of the King, The Two Towers and The Dark Knight.

Avatar is riding high on the list at #5, #24 of all time with only 69,101 votes. As what often happens on IMDb, this film will float down the list as more votes come in, and probably won’t become stable until the home video release.

This list contains a huge chunk of my personal favorites of the last 10 years. Great list of movies to see if you haven’t seen them all already!

Flashback with ‘Grown Ups’ Banner

Grown Ups Banner

Here’s the banner for the upcoming comedy Grown Ups featuring your some of your favorite comics in their youth.

This movie doesn’t look special for any other reason than the fact that they got all these guys together in one movie.

Nick Wolfwood Video Highlight – ‘Skhizein’

Skhezein Image

Here’s a Sci-Fi short film that I loved. The title isn’t something that indicates that it’s about a man who is exactly 91cm from himself, but it is. The film is in French with english subtitles, but don’t let that scare you away it’s really worth checking out! It’s big award winner!

Such a mind bending concept, I loved this. Makes you think about a lot of things in your own life, how far are you from yourself?

VANDALS – Jon Gosselin’s Apartment Destroyed With A Butcher KNIFE! (Photos)

Jon Gosselin on the set of 'The Insider'.

Jon Gosselin came home to his New York City apartment today (December 26) only to find that someone had broken in and vandalized the entire place with a butcher knife.

Jon’s lawyer said that his  ”shoes, shirts, luggage, bed, curtain, rugs and other furnishings” had been slashed by a “sick perpetrator.”  They also stole a bunch of Jon Gosselin’s belongings, his  ”television, CD player, coffee maker, a Nintendo Wii game, dishes, pots and pans were burglarized from his apartment.”  Plus they took “Ming vase, believed to be over 100 years old … was smashed to pieces.”

There was a note speared to Jon’s dresser with the knife calling Jon a cheater and Hailey Glassman’s name was at the bottom.  Obviously anyone could write her name down.  The  NYPD fingerprinted and photographed the scene, so we won’t know if it was Glassman or not until they run the prints.

Jon Gosselin will be pressing felony charges against the perps as soon as they are caught….

Geesh, Jon Gosselin is a tool, but that is pretty low.
