Blu-ray is the new standard, DVD is on its way out and every week they are releasing many films on the relatively new format. Here’s the full list of Blu-ray movies out this week on January 5th, 2010.

• The Final Destination 3-D (New Line Cinema)
• The Green Berets (Warner Brothers)
• IMAX: Solarmax (Razor Digital)
• Riding Giants (Sony)
• Wicked Lake (Shriek Show)

This week’s obvious highlight is a little animated film called Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs which was a surprisingly great little film. I recommend it for the whole family. If you want some silly over the top gore The Final Destination 3-D is out as well. Another highlight this week is the fantastic surfing documentary Riding Giants which must look amazing on Blu-ray.
