Shirtless Reggie Bush Covers Essence

Reggie Bush Essence Magazine Cover February 2010

Essence is taking all kinds of crap for putting New Orleans Saint Reggie Bush on their February 2010 cover.   Many readers are unhappy that a black women’s interest magazine would feature a man who dates outside the race for the cover of the  “Black Men, Love and Relationships” issue.   Check out the arguments here to see just how some sisters feel about Reggie, not to mention his on-again, off-again girl Kim Kardashian. Or, if you are so inclined, you can just enjoy Reggie’s six-pack.

Reggie is so fine and I know you fall in love with who you want to but I am so sick of the brothers who make it to the top and forget about all the Black women who supported them. Are these guys saying that they are ugly or are they saying that the black women are good enough to help them get on top, But I can not dare be seen with them. It really makes me sad because white people have made a big mark in the show bussiness with there own kind, but when BLACK MEN get money they want keep it in the family. And if you think that white women is not A gold digger who is going to spend all your money then you are the stupid Nigga that they think you are. Why do you think they pick you these girls are trained to go after these guys and take them for all the money that they have and most of them the realationship don’t work. Remeber BLACK don’t crack but white cracks into a thousand pieces I would like to see half of these white women arouund the age of 40. O that’s right they will use the stupid Nigga money to fix FACES,ASSES, GUTS, and most of all those ulgy spots they get all over there body.

I must agree with Mrs. Hall it is really sad that black men seem to have turned there backs on there own black women. It seems like when they get Money don’t even look at black women anymore. But a Black woman had you so why wouldn’t they want to be with the one who understands them the most. “SAD”

Well I am white however I wish I was a black woman because Mrs. Hall was right “black don’t crack and white does crack into a tousand piecse” But the reason why we want black guys it because white boys don;t have enough of the stuff we want SEX.

I personally think all of this is pointless. How do you ridicule someone for making a choice they make that doesn’t directly affect you? Would you really be satisfied if it was a black woman? NOPE. Then she wouldn’t be pretty enough or some other lame complaint. Most of the fans/ commentators will find something wrong. Furthermore, Kim Kardashian is not white.

Mrs. Hall, Get A Life. Love has no boundaries, including color. Why would you pull the race card into this? Beyond me and most of anyone else with even half a brain, unless maybe you have racial issues yourself – hmmmm. And Yes Kesha – you are RIGHT! Kim Kardashian is NOT white, but if you want to be technical about it, she is 1/2 White and 1/2 Armenian. So there blows Mrs Hall theory right out of her @ss. Please, try to find something with real merit to get on your soap box about before flapping your gums on something erroneously inbedded in that tiny brain of yours.

Why would any man want to be with a hard, neck twisting, finger snapping, ghetto talking, unkept woman? Not saying that all black women are that way, but for the majority it is true. Really limits a black mans possibilities. Men like something soft, sensual, alluring, and pretty. A woman with a good head on her shoulders that can take care of herself and stand her ground without acting like ghetto trash. Maybe if more black women took pride in themselves and their lives and acted like a real person, more men – not just black men either – would stand up and take notice. You attract what you are!

    Mrs. Brady,
I am a black woman with a Master’s Degree. I don’t know many black women like the ones you described. The MAJORITY ARE NOT that way. The ones you described are the ones shown on television. They are shown for entertainment purposes. Please attend the Essence Festival. You will see strong, intellegent, black women with a lot of self-esteem. We are soft, sensual, alluring, and very pretty. Lots of us have good head on own shoulders. Where have you been? I find your quote both ignorant and insulting. You will NEVER know how a black woman feels about the issue because you are not a beautiful black woman. Every race has its share of people you described.
