The Business Insider is reporting that the merger between Live Nation and Ticketmaster merger just received official approval from the U.S. Department of Justice and should close immediately.

Back in February, Live Nation announced their plans to buy Ticketmaster for $400 million in stock. Pretty much everyone and their mom was upset by this announcement, so the Department of Justice stepped in and investigated, and now approved the deal.

So, I guess that Live Nation will be the one BIG music monster to rip off the public with their insane fees for all of us concert-goers.  Good times.  Good times.
