Here’s the poster for the upcoming film The Four-Faced Liar.

The Four Faced Liar is a story of love and lies for four twenty-somethings looking to find themselves in New York City. A pair of best friends and a seemingly perfect couple meet at a local Irish pub tucked in the winding streets of the West Village. Through their chance meeting, the four bond and over time all of their relationships with one another morph into love, betrayal and heartbreak for all.

Not a lot is truly revealed about this movie in the synopsis, but from the poster it’s obviously got some twists. Not sure what to make of this one.

There’s a fascinating bit of news floating around that Tim Burton‘s next film might be a live action spin off, telling the story of Sleeping Beauty‘s villain, Maleficent!

Hey folks, Harry here with the coolest whisper I’ve heard in a while. I was chatting to a fella I know tonight, and this person heard that Tim Burton is developing another classic Disney fairy tale in a quasi Live Actiony kinda way. It seems that Tim has a hankering for SLEEPING BEAUTY… but not really… You see, he’s going to tell the story from Maleficent’s point of view. In fact, it’ll be called MALEFICENT.

She was always the most interesting character in that story, but we never knew why she hated those three little fairy wenches… or what indignity she suffered at the hands of Aurora’s parents. Yeah, I’m on board… if only it ends with Maleficent with a sword in her heart in dragon form. Cuz that’ll rule. Think about how long this plotline was carried out over. She has quite a tale to tell. Let’s see where it pops up in Burton’s filmography. We’re hearing that DARK SHADOWS is stumbling a bit… Let’s see what Tim does next, he has some interesting choices before him.

Of anybody who would be perfect to direct a movie about the character Maleficent it’s Tim Burton. My question is what part will Johnny Depp play? You know he’ll be in anything Tim Burton does, maybe this will be his first role as a female. Wait! I was saying that as a joke, but he actually looks a bit like her! I bet he could pull it off.

The newest in the series Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will commence shooting this summer in the beautiful Hawaiian islands.

Governor Linda Lingle today announced that Hawai’i will be the location for “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” the fourth installment of the highly successful Walt Disney Pictures’ action adventure film series from Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

The Walt Disney Company President and CEO Bob Iger met with Governor Lingle on Friday to share the news that the islands of Kaua’i and O’ahu will be sites for the production of the feature film, which will begin shooting this summer and is slated to be released in summer 2011. The production is expected to generate an estimated $85 million in direct and indirect spending in Hawai’i, providing a needed economic boost for the state’s economy as well as creating hundreds of jobs for local residents. “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” will star Johnny Depp, returning to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow.

I admit, my hopes for Pirates 4 aren’t very high after the most recent one. This just seems like another case of milking a franchise for all it’s worth. Hopefully they can manage to breathe new life into it with this installment.

Robert Downey Jr. was sporting the Tony Stark goatee at Sunday night’s Golden Globe awards, and supposedly Iron Man 2 has been long finished with shooting. Rumors are bubbling up that Tony Stark may be in Thor, which is shooting now!

A number of sources tell me that there will be additional shooting for Iron Man 2, although Paramount denied this to me when contacted last night. Tonight Jon Favreau tweeted this: ‘Began “locking reels” today. It’s the beginning of the home stretch on IM2.’ That means he’s finished specific reels of the film in editing, and that they’re ready to go (although they probably still need mixing and FX and whatever).

Which means there are two possibilities: one is that there are upcoming shoots for Iron Man 2, but that they’re for specific parts of the movie and that Favreau is editing around them. The denial I received may have been a very standard thing, since studios never like admitting they’re doing reshoots. I’ve explained it before but it bears repeating: reshoots can be a vital part of the process, especially after editing reveals the nature and shape of a movie. Lots of films change or really come together in editing, and a director needs to be able to go back out and pick up new shots or scenes to fill in the gaps. That’s very normal, and as far as I’m concerned, nothing to be worried about. In fact, it’s probably a good sign.*

The second possibility is the one that has your geeky mouth watering: Downey is gearing up for some kind of Thor cameo. That movie is filming right now, and it’s the penultimate film beforeThe Avengers, so a Stark cameo makes a whole ton of sense. In fact, we just learned that Clark Gregg, who plays SHIELD agent Coulson, will be in the movie, so there’s lots of room for Tony Stark to show up.

It would totally make sense that they would do reshoots for Iron Man 2 now, with the film nearing completion. There are still months before it’s released. I hope it’s both reshoots and a cameo, Downey Jr.‘s Tony Stark is a really great character.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been given a Blu-ray/DVD release date; March 20th, 2010. Pre-sales start on January 26th.

Good news! We’ll only have to wait a couple more months for the DVD release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon! Summit Entertainment announced today that the DVD will be released on March 20th, 2010.

The DVD will reportedly feature bonus material, including commentary with director Chris Weitz and editor Peter Lambert, a six-part behind-the-scenes documentary, and band rehearsal footage and music videos Muse, Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina, and Mute Math.

The DVD will retail for $32.99 and the Blu-Ray for $34.99. Both will go on pre-sale January 26th. And in even better news, Eclipse opens in theaters on June 30th!

Fans rejoice and anxiously anticipate the release of the next film in the series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. I sit wondering why people are so in love with mediocrity.

The Celebrity Big Brother house continues to be nuts.  Would you expect anything less?  We already saw the men strip down to some nasty thongs (pictures here), then a bit of streaking,  now it’s time for the ladies to show their stuff.

As part of a Big Brother task, the housemates had to participate in a ‘drawing class.’  Nicola Tappenden and Ivanka Trump stripped down to their undies while the other housemates put them on a canvas.  The winner of the best captured scene, Dane Bowers won his prize choice, a cocktail.  Ivanka chose 10 steaks to share with the house, and Nicola chose a picture from home.

At least they are keeping busy in there!

This one is going to out all of Conan O’Brien’s fans over the edge. NBC is continuing to twist that knife they jabbed into Conan’s pasty back.  NBC won’t allow Triumph the Insult Comic Dog or the Masturbating Bear to leave with him.  What?!  Like they’d ever be able to use those characters without Conan O’Brien!  I could live without the bear, but Triumph is hilarious!!!  NBC is proving just how spiteful they really are.  Thanks Jeff Zucker.

On top of all this, we Conan fans won’t get to see him past the Olympics when he leaves NBC until September.  This is part of the ‘deal’ NBC is ‘working out’ with him. Talk about withdrawals!

NBC is going to pay off Conan O’Brien $32.5 million but with major strings attached.  If and when Conan signs with FOX, NBC will only have to cove the difference in the salary.  So, NBC is going to get off dirt cheap is the bottom line.  Plus, Conan won’t be able to rip on NBC when he leaves the network.  I don’t know how long that will be binding, but it sucks wither way.

I am still shocked by Heidi Montag’s crazy 10 procedure surgery.  I can’t wrap my mind around it. And you know what?  That is probably a good thing.  If I could understand her logic, her way of thinking, I’d probably have to be like her and um, not my mission in like.  Can you say Stepford Wives, Fembots….eek!
