Gabourey Sidibe and Dakota Fanning are this months cover girls for V Magazine. These two young starlets have made a huge impression on the film industry and the world as a whole.

MARIAH CAREY NO MAKEUP IN ‘PRECIOUS’ ROLE

Sidibe talks about her role in Precious,

“All my life I’ve been hearing that I’ll never amount to anything until I am skinny,” Sidibe said. “And she disapproved everything that everyone has ever told me.”

Fanning shares her feelings on being a real person in famous lifestyle,

“I think that when you’re in the public eye, you automatically become a role model, because people are reading about you and looking at pictures of stuff you’ve done,” Fanning said. “But, you know, no one’s perfect, everyone makes mistakes. I have made mistakes and I will make mistakes. I’m only human.”

Mariah Carey gave a drunken speech at the Palm Springs International Film Festival awards gala which George Clooney was later able to use in a speech of his own (see the video here.)  It was clear to the world that Mariah Carey is a big fan of champagne.  What we didn’t know is that she loves the stuff so much, she’s launching her own line of the bubbly.  Sharing her big announcement while defending herself on Twitter,

“Didn’t realize they put the champagne on the tables, So we WOULDN’T drink it! LoL.  No, seriously ANGEL CHAMPAGNE (ROSE) by MC coming soon!”

Gaines Adams, the defensive end for the Chicago Bears, acquired for a second-round draft pick from Tampa Bay this season, has died this morning at the very young age of 26.

The Greenville News reports the Gaines Adams was pronounced dead in the emergency room at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, S.C..  There were reports of a heart attack, though no cause of death has been declared yet.  An autopsy will be performed today by a forensic pathologist in Anderson County.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.

UPDATE: Greenwood County Coroner James T. Coursey said the preliminary autopsy performed Sunday indicated Adams died of cardiac arrest caused by an enlarged heart.

Simon Cowell is just getting this season (his final one) of American Idol underway but I do believe his heart is somewhere else.  America’s favorite judge is getting things lined up for his X Factor debut in America.  We already know that Paula Abdul will be sitting next to Simon at the judge’s table.  But who else will fill those chairs?

Cheryl Cole and Jay-Z!  Yes!  This is going to be a whole new dynamic.  Simon already has his people house hunting for Cheryl!

“Simon has asked Cheryl to join him on the panel for the debut of American X Factor and she’s delighted.”

Picture it now if you will…Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Cheryl Cole, and Jay-Z all in a row, sipping on their drinks, sifting through the talent.  This is going to be great.  I am really looking forward to it!

Jessica Simpson (29) has officially found love once again folks.  This time it’s with Billy Corgan (42), front man for the Smashing Pumpkins.  The happy couple has only been dating since November, but they seem to be moving right along.

Jessica and Billy are sealing their love in the recording studio as they lay down a song together.  I for one cannot wait to hear it!  Jessica seems truly smitten with Billy Corgan as she Tweets from the studio,

“He braids my dreams.”

This unlikely couple seems to be the real thing.  I hope it lasts for Jess’s sake.  She has been looking for the real deal for such a long time and has always gotten burned.  Crossing my fingers for this one…

Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart might not ever want to verbally confirm their relationship.  They may want to keep it under the radar.  BUT, that is simply impossible when you are the kind stars that they are.  With this kind of fan base, you are incapable of having a private life.  Sorry guys, it comes with the territory.

I guess that renting a house in the Hollywood Hills isn’t exactly what they were looking for in the privacy department.  What ever is a hot couple like these two supposed to do?

The scandals are seemingly abundant on this season of The Bachelor.  Just this past week, Jake Pavelka had to deal with the whole Rozlyn Papa “sex scandal” and her betrayal.  See the dog guy Rozlyn hooked up with HERE.

Now in this week’s episode, Jake faces another ‘bomb’, this time from Tenley Molzahn.  The most shocking thing about Tenley’s confession isn’t just that she’s pregnant.  But it’s the fact that she’s played her ‘cards’ like she’s been alone since her divorce.  Like she’s only slept with her husband and hasn’t kissed anyone since.  Hmmm, that obviously doesn’t add up.  Tenley has been sleeping with some other dude, at least once sine leaving her husband.  So, yay.  Another dishonest broad in the house.  Go figure.  I just wasn’t expecting this from HER!

Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock stole the show at the 15th Annual Critics Choice Awards last night in Hollywood.  The two extremely talented actresses surprisingly shared the honors of best actress with a tie.  Then more of our surprise, Sandra Bullock exclaimed, ”This is bulls—” then proceeded to grab Meryl Streep and enjoy a kiss!  After the smooch was over, Bullock changed her tune to this, ”This is an honor.”  Of course she was joking around the entire time and the audience loved it.

And according to Sandra, “Meryl is a good kisser.”

How funny!  Those two women deserved the honors and I can’t wait to see them in ‘action’ at the Oscars.
