TMZ is getting a little something going here.  Aside from the actual premiere of American Idol season 9 kicking off, the biggest Idol news is that Simon Cowell is out and someone has to replace him.  WHO could it be?  It might just be Sir Elton John.  Can you imagine?!  I think that Elton is the one and only person that could take Idol and keep it’s ratings up.  He’s ELTON!  Hello!  Can you think of a better match?  He already had a bit of practice when he did a guest judge gig during season 3.

One of the biggest hits of the night on American Idol down in Atlanta was General Larry Platt.  He is a 62 year old veteran who is now very famous for his original song, Pants On The Ground.  He was the last audition of the night and he even won over the judges. Simon Cowell predicted that Pants On The Ground would be a hit, and here it is!  Viral on the web in minutes.  Thank you General Larry Platt, you have got some serious rhythm and are very fit!  We will see you at the finale to be sure!

This week was pretty ‘normal’ on The Biggest Loser.  Nothing too profound happened.  It was very typical for the second week, not a lot of big numbers.

The white team had an injury during the challenge that landed Mike and his mom, with a 2 pound disadvantage.  But they SO pulled out the big numbers!  21 pounds and they were safe.  What a relief!  I want Mike to stick around.

The red team won immunity and played the ‘don’t lose much this week so you can lose more next week’ which resulted in Melissa gaining 1 pound.  Bob was annoyed and totally called her out, which I enjoyed.

Ashley on the pink team was really struggling but pulled it losing 8 pounds.  Hopefully that will inspire her to work harder in the week ahead, with a little more confidence.

The green team is still my fave, these woman are inspirational.  Migdalia and Miggy have a lot of heart and that is what drives you in this game…. well, that along with Bob and Jillian in your ear!

The brown team was just John and he was a bit intimidated by being the only solo one up there ut he pulle dit out with a 10 pound loss.  He was very happy.  I am proud of him, way to go John!

The purple team fell below the yellow line and per her request, the other teams voted out Patti.  She wanted her daughter Stephanie to stay, that’s what mom’s do!  She is doing great, she’s lost 43 pounds to date and will lose a lot more by the finale!

Last night was opening night for American Idol Season 9. This is Simon Cowell’s last season on the show and Ellen Degeneres‘ first.  Things are changing!  Victoria Beckham made her judging debut and sadly, I was very distracted by her.  Mostly it was the fact that I couldn’t get over how terribly skinny she looked.  SO unhealthy and way overdone in the makeup department.  I wish she’d put on a couple pounds and go a little more natural.  Somebody get her a cheeseburger!!

The auditions were a lot of the usual that we see in these early weeks, a few gems, a lot of nuts, so many delusional people.  I will always be amazed.

I really liked a bunch of the contestants that made it through.  I am excited for this season and I am ready for another round tonight!

Kylie Bisutti beat out Jamie Lee Darley to win the first Victoria’s Sercret Model Search competition last month.  The journey Kylie took to win this major spot with Victoria’s Secret has turned her world upside down,

“This has been a very incredible journey for me. Three weeks ago I was just getting up, going to the gym, living my everyday life.”

The Girls Next Door will be just that, next door. Us Weekly reports that Hugh Hefner is getting really serious with one of his three girlfriends, Crystal Harris so he decided to end his relationship with the Shannon twins, Kristina and Karissa.  So the girls are moving out of the mansion and into the Playmate House.

Hef says,

“They’ve been hanging out with a lot of the other Playmates and they see these girls traveling across the country to do promotion.  They would like to be doing that, too.”

So Hef was the one to ask the girls to move out and end their relationship,

“They thought it was a good idea.  They will now be friends, but they won’t be defined as the girlfriends.”

Wow!  Hugh Hefner only has ONE girlfriend!  Crystal Harris must feel honored!  But she’s not expecting a ring on her finger,
