Avatar is the new “King of the World”, the film has officially beaten Titanic as the highest grossing movie of all time internationally. Pretty amazing.
“Avatar” is the winner and new worldwide boxoffice champion.
After six rounds on the foreign circuit, ”Avatar” is now the biggest-grossing film of all time.
Distributor 20th Century Fox says the James Cameron mega-budget blockbuster’s worldwide cume — excluding Puerto Rico — was through the weekend $2 million shy of “Titanic’s” global boxoffice record of $1.843 billion. (Boxoffice in Puerto Rico, though generated offshore, is considered by Fox as part of domestic total.)
The distributor confirmed that “Titanic’s” historic benchmark fell as of early Monday.
Pretty crazy! I really didn’t expect Avatar to continue to make so much money, but it’s the biggest movie of all time. Now we just have to wait for Avatar 2 to beat it.

The Super Bowl is stirring up more that football rivals this year. Due to a CBS-approved ad that is set to air during the Super Bowl, there is an outrage already igniting.
An ad starring Tim Tebow, the evangelical quarterback from Florida who’s headed for the spring NFL draft is frankly pissing off a lot of pro-choicers out there.
Focus on the Family, along with Tim Tebow and his mother, Pam shot an ad that shares their story about how she ignored doctors advice to abort a potential problem pregnancy and, resting on her faith, carried Tim to term.
USA Today points out that this ad might make people feel like Focus on the Family and the Tebows are saying:
I love my family more than you love your family” v. My love is as good as yours.
Or
God honors my choices, not yours.
“An ad that uses sports to divide rather than to unite has no place in the biggest national sports event of the year — an event designed to bring Americans together,” said Jehmu Greene, speaking for a a coalition of women who oppose the ad.

Here are the two new posters for the upcoming film The Last Airbender from director M. Night Shyamalan.
This movie definitely looks like it could be pretty entertaining, and it’s right up Shyamalan‘s alley. He needs to stick to movies like this and stop trying to impress adults, it’s not working.

During last week’s episode of Frank the Entertainer in a Basement Affair, the show’s star came across a racy online photo of contestant Jenny Jones! Oh no! Not that! A sexy snap scandal for a VH1 reality show contestant! I have never heard of anything so shocking or outrageous!

The new Grindhouse spin off Machete that was planned for a straight to Blu-ray release has been picked up by 20th Century Fox for theatrical release.
20th Century Fox beat out five other studios for the rights to distribute Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete”, the spin-off feature from the fake trailer first seen with 2007′s “Grindhouse”.
The winner is no huge surprise as Fox is already working with Rodriguez on “Predators”, the upcoming “Predator” franchise reboot he’s producing for release this Summer.
This movie is going to be a blast! Pure corny, bloody, silly fun. The cast is great and Robert Rodriguez clearly has a grasp of the genre.

Paula Abdul is going from nothing to a whole lotta something. During her break from American Idol, the girl is getting hooked up with waaay better gigs. First was Simon Cowell’s ‘X Factor‘ that is going to singlehandedly destroy American Idol, now Paula is going to take on the dance floor for herself on Dancing With The Stars. Miss Abdul has been offered $1 million to do the show. There hasn’t been an official announcement as of yet, but you know that Paula will do it. She has nothing to lose. She’s locked in with Simon now and all of her fans are dying for her to do DWTS.
Congrats Paula…. it looks like you made the right decision!
