Deadliest Catch – Captain Phil Harris Dead At 53

Captain Phil Harris Dead At 53

Discovery Channel’sDeadliest Catch” star, Captain Phil Harris has died at the age of 53 in a hospital in Alaska.  Harris suffered from  a stroke while unloading crabs a few weeks ago but was showing great improvement until this sudden change.

Harris’sons, Jake and Josh, told TMZ,

“It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dad, Captain Phil Harris. Dad has always been a fighter and continued to be until the end. For us and the crew, he was someone who never backed down. We will remember and celebrate that strength. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers.”

This is such a sad ending to a great life.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Harris family.
