Simon Monjack and Sharon Murphy launched a Brittany Murphy Foundation online to raise money as a charity dedicated to arts education for children, and has been soliciting funds through a website since last month.  There is just one huge problem, it’s illegal.

Brittany Murphy’s Death Was PREVENTABLE

The foundation is not registered as a charity with the IRS or the state of California, as required by law, reports TMZ.

The California Secretary of State’s said that there are no records for The Brittany Murphy Foundation as well as he state Attorney General’s office has no record of the organization as a nonprofit group.

So what happened?  The site is suddenly ‘down for maintenance’…fishy much? How very SICK and WRONG is this?  Simon Monjack of course won’t comment.  I can’t believe the greed of people.  Brittany Murphy would be outraged.
