Olympic Scandal – Scotty Lago Racy Pics Send Him Home

Shaun White and Scotty Lago

Olympic Bronze Medalist, Halfpipe boarder Scotty Lago volunteered to leave the Vancouver Games after upsetting Olympic officials by appearing in photos of a girl kissing his medal in a racy pose.

Lago’s  teammate Greg Bretz was there too, but hasn’t received any heat, thankfully.

Scotty Lago apologized on Friday to the U.S. Olympic Committee and U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association.  Then he decided to hit the road.

Lago was finished with his competitions in the Olympics, so he will only be missing out on the Closing Ceremonies.

Do you think that Scotty Lago messed up, or was this a huge overreaction?

The kid was taken advantage of by a Chinese citizen, who was looking to embarrass the United States, get Lago kicked out of the games and give the U.S. a little egg on the face. She’ll be crowned a hero for her actions.

Big over reaction. Ok, so I think it’s in poor taste and a little tacky, but he’s dressed, she’s dressed, what’s the problem? The Olympic officials never did anything tasteless as young people?
