Megan Fox is Leila, a gun-wielding prostitute who plays Jonah Hex’s (Josh Brolin) love interest in the upcoming comic book flick, Jonah Hex.

This definitely a different role for Megan Fox, not one we’ve ever seen her do.  But, they knew what they were doing when they cast her.  Can you think of anyone better to be a gun slinging hooker?  Nah, me either.

The Real Housewives of New York City will be back for it’s third season on March 4.  But, there is bad news for husband and wife, Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen fans.  It looks like this is the end of the road for them.

The New York Daily News reports that source say, “Viewers don’t have a positive reaction to them, so they’re easily replaceable at this point.  No details have been released about next season.”

Apparently Simon threw a “hissy fit,” the moment he discover he wasn’t being compensated as well as other stars.

“Also, they don’t really fit in with the other wives,” said the mole. “All of the other women’s story lines have interwoven, yet Alex and Simon have kept theirs separate. It isn’t nearly as interesting as the other Housewives.  Simon wants to be an equal on the show, but that doesn’t really make any sense to Bravo. After all, he’s not a ‘Real Housewife,’ now is he?”

No, Simon is NOT important and both of them are very replaceable in my opinion.  What’s your take?  Will you miss them?

Kate Beckinsale is coming back for at least a cameo appearance in the upcoming Underworld 3D.

Hiding within an article over at Variety our scoop from last August(!) was confirmed reporting that Kate Beckinsale will in fact be starring in Underworld 3D, assuming she can’t work her way out of the deal. What do I mean? Well, sources tell us she’s trying to find a way out of the film — or at least have a smaller role in order to “pass the torch” to one of her kindred (yes, she has not one, but two daughters at this point). With a plan to release the film in theaters on January 21, 2011, production needs to commence soon. Who will helm? The Variety article states Len Wiseman will once again go behind the camera.

I don’t know why she doesn’t just take on the lead role, there’s nothing bigger that I see her doing right now, and it’s not a big enough movie series to typecast her. This isn’t James Bond.

Logan Lerman, star of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is in talks to star as Spider-Man in the upcoming reboot of the franchise.

…the star of “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief,” told Billy Bush for Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show” that he is in talks with Sony to play Peter Parker in the “Spider-Man” reboot.

“There have been a few discussions, it’s definitely something I’m looking into,” Logan told Billy on Thursday.

The 18-year-old actor said he’s been a hardcore fan of the web-slinger for years.

“It’s one of my favorite characters ever and I’m a huge fan of the series,” he continued. “I’d love to have more conversations about it. I’m definitely very interested in it.”

The “Percy Jackson” star explained that the interest in him playing Spider-Man was “vice versa,” and that both he and the studio have expressed interest.

While I can’t say much about Logan Lerman‘s performance ability since I’ve seen so little of him, I can definitely say he looks about 1000% more like Peter Parker than Tobey Maguire ever did. Hopefully the studio and filmmakers pick the most talented actor for the part, not just the most fitting look.

True Blood’s Anna Paquin fell in love with her co-star, Stephen Moyer on the set of the first series, and now wedding bells are in the works.

Anna dished about her relationship in this month’s Marie Claire, describing their relationship as fairly low key, “We’re pretty mundane. We walk our dogs, rehearse lines.But our shared passion for our jobs is a really exciting thing. It’s part of the reason we ended up together.”

TRUE BLOOD SPOILERS

Anna was surprised on how much the whole vampire craze took off in ’09,

“I had no idea 2009 was going to be the vampire year. I just loved (True Blood’s) mix of funny, campy and weird.”

When Anna and Stephen were cast for True Blood neither of them was looking for love, it found them,

“Clearly there was a reason we were cast in that particular combination but… it’s not like either of us were looking for love or anything trite like that. It wasn’t something we saw happening.”

Reese Witherspoon and Bradley Cooper are set to star together in the upcoming romantic comedy This Means War.

The film is about two best friends since childhood who fall for the same woman (Witherspoon). Their friendship ends and their fight grows to epic proportions, taking out an entire city.

Apparently Charlie’s Angels director McG is set to direct this one. This is so much more his speed than Teminator Salvation was. However this movie turns out, it will have a solid female audience.

The third Robert Langdon film that started with The Da Vinci Code entitled The Lost Symbol has a screenwriter to adapt the book.

Columbia Pictures has finally decided to step up development of the big screen adaptation of Dan Brown’s latest book, and Da Vinci Code sequel The Lost Symbol.  The studio has hired Steven Knight, whose credits include Eastern Promises, Dirty Pretty Things, who also penned drafts of Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

The third adventure is a 12-hour race to the finish quest set in Washington, DC, following mystery-solving Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon unravel Freemason conspiracy theories using hidden codes.  The film franchise already accounts for over $1.24 billion in worldwide box office.

Yet another mediocre book to mediocre movie translation, at least this writer is very talented. Even though he’s good, I’m not excited about this overly hyped next chapter. In any case, I’m sure Tom Hanks will return for the paycheck.
