Poor Jessica Simpson.  She’s always calling the wrong kind of attention to herself.  Animal activist group PETA is all up in Jess’ grill after she made this fairly innocent tweet:

“I’m thinking about getting a pet pig.  Does this mean I’ll have to give up pork?”

PETA released this statement in response:

“Pigs, who are smarter than dogs and every bit as sensitive to pain and stress, don’t belong in Jessica’s stomach or carted around as her latest accessory.”

I completely agree that pets are not accessories *cough*Paris Hilton*cough*… but pork is just plain delicious, and I don’t care what PETA says!  Although I am pretty sure if I had a pet pig, I would never look at a plate of bacon quite the same way again.

Gorgeous and glamorous Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi gave birth to a daughter in New York on February 20th.   Her rep announced:

“Mother and baby are well and happy.”

Padma named her baby Krishna Thea. The father’s name, however, is still a mystery.

Congratulations Padma and welcome baby Krishna!

The new Martin Scorsese film Shutter Island opened this weekend to a solid $41 million, that’s the best opening weekend ever for Leonardo DiCaprio or Scorsese! No other opener even hit the top ten but Valentine’s Day managed to make another $16.6 million and Avatar climbed back to 3rd place in it’s 10th week with $16.2 million.

A smiling Jennifer Garner stepped out on Sunday for the House of Blues Gospel Brunch in Los Angeles.  The event benefitted the I Have A Dream Foundation – Los Angeles.  This organization helps underprivileged children attend college.

Jen’s got every reason to smile – although her new movie, Valentine’s Day, was knocked out of the number one spot this weekend by Shutter Island, it still came in a respectable #2.

British lingerie model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley‘s resume is getting longer!   She’s worked with Agent Provocateur, and was just named a Victoria’s Secret Angel.  Now she’s working it for Monsoon’s Spring/Summer 2010 underwear collection.

You might think Rosie would get enough of lingerie in her line of work, but she says she loves getting unmentionables as a gift.

‘It’s quite a sensual gift and quite sweet for a man to give it – even though it’s obviously saying something. But it’s also them showing you what they think you look good in.’

We definitely think she looks good in Monsoon’s selections!

Growing Pains star, Andrew Koenig, who played Boner on the show has been reported missing.

The Vancouver Police told TMZ that Koenig was reportedly last seen a week ago and he was supposed to be on a flight back to the United States on February 16, but never made it.

The family is asking that anyone with information contact that Detective Raymond Payette of the Vancouver Police Department at 604-717-2534.

*UPDATE*  Andrew Koenig’s parents, Judy and Walter Koenig are saying that their son is ”suffering from depression” and “not doing good” and they wre able to find out that the last text message Andrew received was on Feb 16 in Vancouver.  The police are on the case, and will hopefully find Koenig safe, soon.

Spencer Pratt was seen filming a spot for The Hills out in Los Angeles on Friday.  It looks like all of his ‘sweet talk’ on Twitter is changing his whole style, even in the closet.  Check out the tie-dyed shirt, overkill rings and necklaces…. wow.  Spencer goes hippie while his wife, Heidi Montag goes Barbie.  They have always been an ‘odd’ couple, but now, I don’t really have the right words.  Do you?

Perez Hilton took advantage of the opportunity while hosting a ‘Celebrity Tweet-Up‘ at LAVO nightclub at the Palazzo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas to drag John Mayer into the ‘picture.’

After outing John Mayer as being gay, Perez is enjoying the ride.  Flashing a 1982 John Mayer tour shirt, it doesn’t get more obvious than that!
