Alice in Wonderland remained the number one movie in the box office this past weekend (March 19 – 21, 2010) outselling all the newly opening movies. Diary of a Wimpy Kid took the #2 slot and The Bounty Hunter took #3 both bringing in over $20 million. While Repo Men took #4 with a very disappointing $6.1 million.

Chris Evans has been cast as Captain America in the upcoming film The First Avenger: Captain America.

Marvel Studios is moving toward a deal with Chris Evans to star in The First Avenger: Captain America, the Joe Johnston-directed film that had every hot young actor in town trying on the red white and blue uniform. This was a world class bake-off, though I heard that Channing Tatum and Garret Hedlund passed. Now it’s down to negotiating, where Marvel plays hard. They originally told reps of candidates who tested that the first movie would pay around $300,000 and any deal would come with nine options to play Captain America in future Marvel movies.

Seems like he’ll work, he’s certainly all-american looking. Nine possible films? That’s a lot of potential for Evans, hopefully for him he doesn’t get typecast as a superhero. Wait, maybe that’s already happened. In any case, the fact that they have picked somebody moves the movie forward in a big way. They better get cracking, it’s due in theaters on July 22nd, 2010.

Congrats once again! Isla Fisher and Sasha Baron Cohen tied the knot last week in Paris (details here) and now I’ve got the first snaps of Isla’s wedding ring!

Sasha, Isla, and little Olive were putting in some heavy duty shopping in France when Olive’s stroller tipped over!  It’was all good and pretty much a good laugh…. and hey!  It gave us a quick snap of that rock on Isla’s finger!

It’s about time!  Isla Fisher and Sasha Baron Cohen have finally tied the knot.  The cute couple has been together for more than a decade.  They chose an intimate, traditional Jewish ceremony in Paris, avoiding all the stress and chaos of a traditional, big wedding.

Isla shared the happy news with friends via email the day after the nuptials,

“We did it – we’re married!  It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much.  I thought of you as everything was happening, but Sacha and I wanted no fuss – just us!”

Way to go!  I am very happy for this unique, very in love couple!

The porn guys have been after Nadya Suleman aka OctoMom for a long time now.  Well, now they are going after her while they know she’s in a pinch.  Facing foreclosure on her house, Suleman is being offered the chance to have her house paid off if she does a skin flick.

Vivid Entertainment, porn kings have offered OctoMom $460,000 to do the porn. Well, the funny thing is when they first approached her in February of last year, it was a $1 million offer.  Her body has gotten a lot better, so why has the price dropped?  I guess the recession is affecting the porn industry as well.

So, I am wondering… how desperate is OctoMom?  Will she accept the offer?

New information has come into the light in the death investigation of Marie Osmond’s 18-year-old son, Michael Blosil. His roommates have revealed to police that Blosil’s ex-girlfriend contacted him days before his suicide. When he returned from seeing her, 3 days before his death, he told them that he blacked out and woke up several blocks from his apartment, laying in the street.  Blosil had believed that his ex had drugged him.

The ex claims she want’ even in town when that incident allegedly happened (of course.)

So, until the toxicology reports come in, we won’t know. But, goodness if that is what happened, it’s more saddening than before.

Jesse James’ mistress, Michelle McGee told the NY Post that when they first started sleeping together, he and Sandra Bullock were separated.  McGee isn’t too happy with Jesse James for not calling her to apologize.  WHAT!?  Yeah, like she needs an apology.  Maybe she needs to be calling Sandra Bullock to apologize for sleeping with her husband!
