The latest news on Corey Haim’s death according to TMZ is that Haim collapsed in the bedroom of his mother’s apartment and four prescription bottles were found nearby.  Corey had been ill for a few days, with the flu… but the meds weren’t prescribed for the flu.  Haim’s mom said that he’d been struggling with prescription drug addiction for years.

There were NO illegal drugs in the apartment when Haim collapsed in front of his mother around 1:30am, she called 911 and Haim was pronounced dead when he arrived at the hospital.

This is feeling way too much like the Brittany Murphy tragedy...

This is just so sad and horrific for Haim’s mother.  My heart hurts for her….

Actor Corey Haim was found dead this morning by his mother in his apartment. He was only 38 years old.  You would remember Haim from The Lost Boys and his 80′s movies where he rose to fame.

Carey Haim has been struggling with drugs for years and sadly, this time the drugs won.  Police have opened a death investigation and it looks like this was most likely an ‘accidental overdose.’

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Haim family.

Jennifer Aniston already has us all drinking SmartWater like her.  Now rumor has it that she wants us to smell like her too.  She is reportedly working with the Falic Group (Phallic Group?) to develop a fragrance.

The Falic Group is also behind Eva Longoria Parker‘s perfume, Eva by Eva Longoria, due out this spring.  Their other fragrance lines include Perry Ellis and Hard Candy.

You know people are going to eat this thing up even if it doesn’t smell very good, just because it has Jennifer Aniston’s name on it.  Hopefully it won’t bring its wearers her bad relationship luck, too.

CW’s hit The Vampire Diaries were one of the featured shows at the 2010 Paley Festival in Los Angeles on March 6th and TV Guide had some panel time with the three stars Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder. Writers and producers Kevin Williamson (Dawson’s Creek and the Scream movies) and Julie Plec were also on hand to give some fun teasers about the rest of the season and share some stories about each other. Emma Watson is acting in a student run play for free. The mega million dollar actress is part of Brown University’s production of the Anton Chekhov play Three Sisters. The play, which will run from March 12 – 15th is free to students and faculty with current Brown ID.

Kristen Bell gives it up for the cover of Dirrty Glam. The usually wholesome looking actress lets us peek at her wild rocker chick style for this issue.

Bell, who is costarring in Burlesque with Christina Aguilera and Cam Gigandet is also part of the Good Housekeeping April 12th event “Shine On!” - a one night Broadway show and celebration of the magazine’s 125th year. The gala evening will salute independent, strong women who’ve broken barriers and busted through cliches with imagination and determination.

In July of 2009, Adam Yauch (MCA) of the Beastie Boys announced he had cancer. The rapper has been under treatment and had surgery to remove a tumor in his salivary gland. The group postponed the September release of (and the tour to support) their album Hot Sauce Committee, Part 1 while Yauch was fighting the disease but now he’s healing and ready to get that album out.

Yauch said he and the other Beastie Boys are planning to give the album a final once-over soon. “I was just talking to Adam [Horovitz] and Mike [D] today on the phone and we were talking about working on it a bit. We finished the record over a year ago, so we want to take a look at it and re-evaluate and make sure it is what we want to put out there and that we are still happy with it. I don’t think we will change it up too much.”

Here’s to hoping his health stays on this positive path!

Ryan Reynolds will bring DC Comics superhero Green Lantern to the big screen next summer, and true geeks and comic fans want to know:  what will his costume look like?  Ryan spilled:

“Um, it’s, ah snug. The costume is snug. It doesn’t leave a lot, uh, it doesn’t really camouflage too much. So it’s going to be interesting.”

And suddenly men everywhere are pleasantly surprised when their girlfriends seem more than willing to go see Green Lantern with them.   In IMAX, if possible.
