The diminutive but mighty Shakira has been given the honor of having her song “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)” chosen as the official song for soccer’s greatest spectacle, the 2010 World Cup.

“I am honored that Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) was chosen to be part of the excitement and the legacy of the 2010 FIFA World Cup,” said Shakira. “The FIFA World Cup is a miracle of global excitement, connecting every country, race, religion and condition around a single passion. It represents an event that has the power to unite and integrate, and that’s what this song is about.”

Shakira will attend the opening (June 10th) and closing (July 11th) ceremonies in Johannesburg, South Africa to perform her catchy tune.

Jesse James is heartbroken and playing a violin for himself.  But he’s not going to find too much sympathy.  Jesse reacted to the divorce and adoption of baby Louis Bardo Bullock to People:

This is the best Hollywood news I have heard in ages!  Sandra Bullock is divorcing Jesse James and starting a new life with a baby!!  She and Jesse started the adoption process four years ago and she’s finally got her little angel.  His name is Louis Bardo Bullock, a 3½-month-old boy and he’s just what her broken heart needed.

Sandy shared with People,

“He’s just perfect, I can’t even describe him any other way.  It’s like he’s always been a part of our lives.”

They have had Luis home since JAnuary, but kept him a sweet secret with plans to announce his “arrival” after the Oscars.  Then we all know what broke loose and now Sandra is in the process of finalizing the adoption process as a single parent.

Congratulations Sandra!  You deserve all the happiness in the world and Louis is so blessed to have such a loving, giving mommy like you.
